Don’t we have a 23 man roster?
Yes and they can send him back down. They don't know if they are successful on a claim yet (if they put one in).

Why not just claim Jones instead?
Sounds like he would fit right in on the Habs!!He's terrible and isn't a center.
Condotta can do exactly what Jones can doNo one claimed him, contract likely the issue with the length
Condotta can do exactly what Jones can do
I remember him in Anaheim and he didn't stick out to where I would want to take him while we have guys like Condotta and Tuch who can do a similar job.In the same way Pezzetta can do what Wilson can do, I guess. Max Jones is a much more imposing and damaging player than Condotta.

We're not asking him to be the next Claude Lemieux, but he'd be an upgrade over guys like RHP/Pezz/Condotta.Look at the comments from Bruins fans on Jones, not really interesting
Player Discussion - Max Jones
I haven't seen anything in Jones that makes me think he should be on the roster at all. He isn't even a physical force. He just takes dumb penalties. I guess they are stubborn and don't want to admit they made a mistake signing him but right now we'd be better off with him waived and Johnson...forums.hfboards.com
He wasn’t this year though, he wasn’t physical at allWe're not asking him to be the next Claude Lemieux, but he'd be an upgrade over guys like RHP/Pezz/Condotta.
Yeah bruins fans weren't much impressed with. Think they mentioned he got injured in preseason or something. He wasn’t this year though, he wasn’t physical at all
He is a solid 3rd liner in Laval and will always be a minor league player you call up on occasion. Can Condotta stick guys? Anyone see him play this year with The Rocket?
I guess he is supposed to bring more grit and size...about all he brings.
Can he play regular shift in NHL?he brings more then that, he's really the kind of player you want called up in these situations imo. There's no concern with his development, he is what he is. So if he sits in the press box getting paid more then good for him, unlike past GM's that would call up Roy the second he started to string some good games together, he would be on the 4th line, the first sign of struggle he would get benched and then end up in the press box only to be back in the AHL in a week or so and then suddenly they can't seem to do well in the AHL, rinse repeat.
On the 4th line...yes.Can he play regular shift in NHL?

I meant if we re-sign Condotta?who cares, what's the worst thing that can happen, we lose more?
Solid AHL vet and Captain should be kept in the organizationI meant if we re-sign Condotta?
I like to create big physical line next season. Tough players who can take a regular shift. Throw out there 10-12 minutes a game to give team energy. Also many young players arriving next season give them a little protectionSolid AHL vet and Captain should be kept in the organization
