I cannot see where there would be any objection from Price's standpoint. Who wouldn't want their money a couple of months early? The issue, I would guess, would be whether it violates any league rules.

That's what it would be. Habs need to abide by the contract they signed. If they're at an advatage by changing the terms, it would upset the other teams and the league and open the door to other teams not abiding by their contracts and being "creative" with theirs.

I don't see it being possible but I'm not a lawyer.
