Well… good things don’t last in my world. Job was going pretty good until I started getting angry calls from all of my customers who were reporting higher credit card rates than we promised them or undisclosed installation fees of anywhere from $500-1500. Confronted the sales team lead about it, he didn’t have answers so I set up a meeting with the head of sales and basically she said we charge whatever we feel like based on the installation size and how much revenue the restaurant does; if they make $30k a month we charge $500 if they do $100k a month we charge $1500 even if it’s the same amount of labor. She also said the credit card rates we provide in our sales proposals are estimated and can’t be guaranteed. After saying some unfortunate choice words, it seems that I am going to be back on the job market here.
Anyone have/need anything remote like data entry? Even if just for a short time? I’m at wit’s end. I also really want to get out of sales. At least cold call sales. Anyone wanna mentor me into a different career field? I’ll work my ass off. I’ll wear multiple hats. I’ll answer phones, manage calendars, data entry, accounts receivable, whatever. I’m lost.
