@NickyFotiu Dow futures are down 1500 points!
Very frustrating to see. Thankfully I was positioned pretty defensively but Im still feeling some of the pain. Feel bad for the people being hurt by this. My hope is some of the countries start making free trade deals with us and/or each other. My other hope is this correction is a matter of weeks not years.

I only have $129 in US stock. My portfolio is 6-7 figures.
Well today wasn't as bad. Interesting to have a 7 figure portfolio bit only $129 in equities. Good though since you missed around 17% pull back. I had a lot more equity exposure than you but not as much as most people.

I have $0 in stocks now. My bonds lost 1.21% today. I don't care because it's normal, bonds may be up tomorrow, and my future dividends will buy more shares if it does not go back up this month.

Do you own individual bonds? Or bond funds? Sounds like a fund (dividends)

I cannot catch a break.

Rainbow was in the hospital over night 3 nights while pregnant, back in the first week of March.

My sister gave birth mid-March, caught some kind of resistant strain of staph and spent 10 days in the infectious ward unit before being discharged and able to see her daughter.

My younger brother got into a drunken domestic incident with his girlfriend last weekend and was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon by the DA and held on $5k bail.

I’m in the ER right now on morphine and Zofran while they prep to move me to surgery to remove my appendix because it just decided I needed another little something to keep things exciting. Boys, I am so miserable. The pain/nausea in my right abdomen is wildly inappropriate and needs to go away.

I'm curious which bond etfs and why? I mostly use Treasuries.
AGG, BND, FBND, IUSB

I chose those 4 because I think they're the best bond ETFs. BND has a 3.65% yield; a low .03% expense ratio, and it's $128.8B size gives it great stability. The other 3 are Morningstar's top 3 rated bond ETFs. They don't cost more than $100 so it gives great flexibility while building your portfolio. ETFs do have tax advantages over mutual funds. You may be correct about Treasuries being better and be more knowledgeable about finance than I am. If I'm wrong, I admit it now.

I sympathize. I was 30 pounds heavier last year and I had incredible pain in my abdomen but stupidly refused to go the hospital. I still have my appendix (and tonsils) and if it had been my appendix I could have died. It wasn't but it was incredibly stupid of me especially since I have great health insurance and have an MD friend who lets me walk in w/o an appt.

That is insane. I just had a snake in my pool cage so I thought I had it bad. I sure hope everything goes well for you. Health problems are the worst. I wish I had a funny line but that all sucks. Its like a black cloud has been following you. I guess the bright side is you do have your girlfriend and a kid on the way. Sorry about the rest. 🙁

Dude things are so good generally but the quantity of not-insignificant things that have piled up in like a 5 week period is insane. I must have walked under a ladder or something. Henry was with us this weekend and was such a little stud. Hilarious, happy dude. Family is good. So much stuff is going good but it’s a wild stretch of like *biggish* crap happening. Also, my insurance is extraordinarily mid and I think my deductible is like $5000 and this is about to suck. Just had a CT scan and they gave me delaudid.

I like ETFs greater than funds. I go for the higher 4.2% individual treasury but Ill look in to your etfs tomorrow. I like to keep myself educated. I just don't like that etfs/funds can go down when rates rise.

I had a crazy ER hospital bill from a 2 hour visit. I was able to get it lowered later but took months of trying. Glad you realize the good things you have. I do understand your frustration. Its a lot in a short time.
