I was watching Winnie the Pooh this morning and Piglet says, "It takes Pooh to make a thing feel right, it takes Pooh to make it outta sight"! :eek3:  Who knew Winnie has a taste for pork? Pork lover!?! It gives a whole new meaning to porking someone! @Boris Zubov

The Cramps were really good. Pretty crazy too. Did one gig in a mental asylum. Their people or pretty close. I have a couple/3 of their albums circa 1980/81/82. For someone who hasn't heard them it's kind of punkabilly with horror/surf (not goth) overtones. Poison Ivy was an ace guitar player.
Great post. I call them Voodoo Punkabilly.

They come out of the early days where punk music wasn't really that much a defined sound. As a stage act they could be pretty damned raw. Lux Interior was just f***ing nuts as a frontman. Almost like an early days Iggy Pop on steroids. He might do any damn thing imaginable and depending on the watcher the choice might come down to them being absolutely horrified or laughing their asses off. On record the instrumentation comes across as spare....not overdriven or distorted all that much and really as far as music goes it's not entirely punk its roots are surf, rockabilly and just classic American bar band.

Pre-engaged means to be in a relationship where you are committed to the other person and are considering marriage, but you are not yet officially engaged.
No offense, but it sounds like a term so people can bring attention to themselves. Can't they just say they're in an exclusive relationship?

BTW, how old is your son? Talk some sense into him!

There are 2 things I don't understand.

1. Why does it take a week for a letter to travel from Chicago to ATL?

2. With today's internet technology banks can check anyone's account balance in seconds. When I deposit an out of state check of less than $10k, why does my credit union put a one week hold on the cash?

They do not believe a rich and powerful man such as yourself would ever bother to deposit a check under $10k so they are thinking it must be a fake. :)
