Player Discussion Louis Crevier (RHD) acquired from Chicago

  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
After hearing some comparisons to Stanley in the trade thread. I was pleasantly surprised by how well he skates in those highlights. Certainly much better than Stanley, as a skater anyway.
anyone know if he drops the gloves ?

if he does, is he good ?

I mean I've only seen a few clips so far, but he almost looks like our 2nd best skating d-man (not including Metsa or any of the fringe guys)

Not sure I understand why Chicago gave us him on top of everything else. Seems like a decent youngish player, at least serviceable.

They have a lot of young defensemen in their pipeline. Maybe it's a case of only so many minutes to go around? They already punted Allan to SJ and might be in the process of ruining Korchinski and Del Mastro too.

Crevier is one of the faster D in the league. He's like Stanley with rocket boosters.

"He's 6'8" everytime he steps on the ice" I snorted my drink at that.

At minimum, love adding him the Metsa/Timmons tier as depth is important (I’m not calling him depth per se). It was a big part of this team last year. But he seems to have some upside. very nice

He was playing with Vlasic as the Hawks 1RD to end the year. I suppose the way to make sure an arbitration eligible RHD next summer goes from affordable to out of reach would be putting him on the 2nd pair with Power and letting them cook. Again.

Imagine what Ruff can turn this kid into - I could see this being a special project of his.
