If not for Lou, New Jersey wouldn't have an NHL team anymore, so we'll always be grateful that he was here. But cap era Lou is a shadow of his former great self. He made awful draft selections, signed questionable contracts, and traded away picks for win-now players.
It depends on what his role there is. If it's a gig like he had in Toronto, then that minimizes the damage he does (although the damage will never be zero). But if it's the kind of position he had in New Jersey and Long Island, he'll make them even worse off. Adams is a pushover (that's why he's here) so I assume the latter.
