kind of, he was hired (may 07) right before reports of the league subsidizing (dec 08) the team came out & they kept his as gm when the owner declared bankruptcy/handed team to the league.

JR hasn't been passed by like Lou.
He's done a good job since he came here, minus his treatment of Bruce and his love for Tochett who did here exactly what he did in Arizona, take a fun team and kill the fun play and offense.

Adams is a clown GM. He needs to get fired quite frankly. At the very least there should be someone there with more experience and knowledge to help him out with PR, trades, negotiations, whatever it may be he’s just in over his head.

I could only imagine the culture shock there would be there if Lou went as advisor to Buffalo. Shit would flip upside down real quick. Adams is a cringe factory. Reminds me of Pierre Dorion.

I'm an Islanders fan, and I absolutely thought his time here was done, but I'm a little surprised by the reaction. If there's any organization that could used a little bit of buttoned staid professionalism, it's the Sabres.

Still, that LL interviewed there is pretty good evidence of slipping judgment.
