MichkovIf Habs win the 2nd overall pick, Fantilli or Carlsson?
if our name doesn't come up at 7th, 6th and 5th?Since we count down at the lottery, do any math folks here know what the first indication is that we moved down to 1st or 2nd? What teams would we have to see in what position or does it matter?
Im starting to think that Reinbacher will make his way into the top 7 discussion. if we dont have the top 4 or Smith, id lean towards himYour top 6, is mine at 100%, anyday. One of them will change the forward group of Habs for many years to come, no doubt about that.
At 7-8, I hesitate between Reinbacher, Yager, Leonard, Moore or Dvorsky. They all looks very good.
For sure but if someone below us ends up at 8th, is that an indication?if our name doesn't come up at 7th, 6th and 5th?
Only reason I put Reinbacher is because I'm chosing the Habs top 7. I think there are better potential players at 7 as well but think they'd take him there, or possibly earlier. I'd have Yager, Moore and Leonard above Reinbacher on my list as well.Your top 6, is mine at 100%, anyday. Hell naw. Second pick is Fantilli

No math involved lolSince we count down at the lottery, do any math folks here know what the first indication is that we moved down to 1st or 2nd? What teams would we have to see in what position or does it matter?
Oh, I think we know the reason.Move up in the draft and grab Fantilli @2 somehow, i'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about anything beyond that pick for some reason.
Carlsson is Fantilli caliber, way better prospect then SmithMove up in the draft and grab Fantilli @2 somehow, i'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about anything beyond that pick for some reason. Looks like a lot of 'meh' like last years draft. Michkov looks like a lot of problems, very risky pick too losing his father and all. Does Carlsson excite anyone?
However if it comes down to Carlsson or Smith, I hope its Smith
Thanks for this. This is exactly what I was looking for.No math involved lol
While counting down every single team needs to pick exactly at their pre-rank until they get to us,
if one doesn't show up at its rank we go back one spot, if 2, 2 spots
at our turn, if another team is shown, we won 1 or 2
The earliest we can now where we can pick is if both CGY and NSH win the lottery, and therefore, the 16h pick belongs to PIT and the 15th to BUF. Very unlikely though. But in such situation, we'd know we pick 7th (I think, since NSH would move to 5th and CGY to 6th).Thanks for this. This is exactly what I was looking for.
One question though, couldn’t a team before us get one of those two spots and we still not appear because we got the other one?
Like in this scenario:

In this scenario, we’d have every team where they were until 11 when Vancouver appears. Everyone bumps down one or two until they get to us
I’m just wondering if the 7th lottery draw is the earliest we’ll know something happened to our pick?
Carlsson is Fantilli caliber, way better prospect then Smith
Mailloux was at #35 on McKenzie's list, Habs took him at 31...We've had good luck with fallers recently:
2019 Caufield
2020 Farrell
2021 Mailloux
2022 Hutson
just sayin
2023 (Michkov?)
Fantilli all day long.If Habs win the 2nd overall pick, Fantilli or Carlsson?
Nothing wrong with Smith. The kid averages 2 pts a game.Move up in the draft and grab Fantilli @2 somehow, i'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about anything beyond that pick for some reason. Looks like a lot of 'meh' like last years draft. Michkov looks like a lot of problems, very risky pick too losing his father and all. Does Carlsson excite anyone?
