Beyak loves it too. Now he can drop the "Schiefele, on a 6 game point streak" on us every time he says Schiefele's name until he scores, then "Schiefele, added a point today for a 7 game streak, longest by a Jet this season" the next 30 times he touches the puck.

I'd much rather hear that than the last few games him mentioning how many games Chris Thornburn has played in the NHL. :shakehead :help:

Haha they went 1 for 1 on the PP tonight and have been 8 for 25 lately.

Lots of people not watching games here. First, 3 guys who have scored points in the last 2 games are called out for their lack of scoring, and then the PP is called horrible on a night they went 100%.

Agreed.

The PP has been noticeably better both production wise and just how we look. Crisper , not as easily defensed , less predictable. Like Sceifele handling the puck on it and Wheeler is better when he is out there with 55 . It may not matter to making playoffs this year , but if we elevate to an average success rate we will get a fair amount of points over a season from these one goal games.

Going forward this is vital and a way this team can and will improve imo. Chevy noted improving the PP as his number one wish , well it has been improved , now lets maintain that.

Strong game by Jets. Deserved better.

Head scratcher: Troubs is named 2nd star, but played the less mins of all our d, except an injured Stuart. Seems like poor bench management to me.

JP Vigier was mentioning this several times on the post game show. He threw out that maybe Noel wanted to protect Trouba against a team like Vancouver ( strong team ) not sure I believe that was the reason.

Would like to establish some consistent pairings once injuries are settled ( pretty much there hopefully ) and let some cohesion build . See if maybe a small move or big move could be done at the draft to build the roster better.

I wonder if the Jets realize that every time they lose to an old Smythe Division rival, kittens cry.

Actually, it's hard to be mad. We outhit them, won the turnover battle, slightly edged them in the faceoff circle, pk was decent, and pp did as well as possible.

Looking forward to the point where WE can lose at all those elements, and still actually win clean.

Good road game against a tough opponent, but sucks that it ends up a loss. Pavelec got burned on the deflection on the first goal, and I can't fault him the that one, but he played the second goal badly, otherwise he had a strong performance. Lack was outstanding in relief of Luongo, and basically stole the game, because other than the first period, I thought the Jets played a fundamentally strong road game, and could've got the win if things had gone their way.

Awesome PP (really, one penalty against the 'Nucks???) and I thought the PK looked better. The 4th line was energetic, and if anybody but Wright had the chance on the backhand, that would've been a goal. The Jets PP is starting to percolate nicely with 55 and 26 feeding Kane. I like how the points are being used for set-up rather than constantly used for the big shot - it's cut down the shorty chances lately.

O'Dell looked good out there, and looked good with the 3rd line for that one shift in the third.

It may have been a loss, but I still saw some positive developments, especially 55, 67,9,8 and 58.

Tough to win if you only score 1

Tough to win when your opponents backup makes some incredible saves to preserve the 1-1 score, then our starter is badly positioned and can't stop a wrist shot. It's not Pavelecs fault we only scored one but it's a common theme he's always the 2nd best goaltender.
