Imagine picking ****ing Swaggy P over your #2 draft pick in D'Angelo Russell. I'm not gonna say what he did is good, but Magic throws out the "but muh locker room!" and picking Young over him. You made a personal decision rather than a basketball decision. Secondly, who gives an absolute **** about the room when all the guys in that room were scrubs and/or all on one year deals outside of Jordan Clarkson? You made a bad trade, which led you to making a bad pick in Lonzo (idgaf, he can't shoot, he sucks) and torching the Lakers future even further. And then proceeded to sign model citizen Lance Stephenson, who beat his girlfriend and helped lend a hand to those Pacer teams of the mid 10's to implode. Genius.

-russell trade was a mistake. hated it from day one
-if you watched the lakers you'd know that lonzo does not suck. yes, his shooting sucks but outside of that he's come just as advertised with his passing, bball IQ, and court vision and his excellent defense is an added plus. but please, keep telling me he sucks

The Lakers are such a mess and honestly, LeBron is a HUGE reason why they're in a mess. His consistent meddling, demanding who they need to trade for and his blatant tampering is really putting them in a bind. His signing was the worst thing that ever happened to the club. It certainly doesn't help that Magic thinks he's the greatest basketball executive of all time and hired a former player agent that knows next to nothing. Hopefully the next executive that Jeanie Buss hires cleans house completely and does a proper build.

I said it at the start, LeBron James was going to continue trying to run things in Los Angeles. I'm VERY surprised that they hired Vogel instead of Lue; James cannot be happy about that.

The Lakers need someone to completely take charge in that organization. They need someone like Pat Riley to just come in and clean house.

not surprised at all they hired vogel over lue

lue passed on their offer because they weren't willing to give him more than 3 years. basically saying we only want you on as HC while lebron is here. i actually agree with not giving lue more than 3 years because what's the point of having him as HC if lebron isn't around?

and pat riley is not coming back to LA. not sure why his name keeps getting thrown around. guy is 74 years old and happily living in miami, not to mention he has an ownership stake with the heat. lakers had the opportunity to bring the logo back but of course they messed that up
