Just before his goal, Byron also did a hell of a job to protect the puck from Martinez before moving it and heading straight to the net.

When i saw that i told my dad "damn Radulov is hard to knock off the puck".. then saw it was Byron . He really looked like Radu on that play.

I want to see this right now :

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher
Byron - Galchenyuk - Radulov
Carr - Danault - Shaw
Andrighetto - Mitchell - Flynn

When Lekhonen comes back :

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher
Lekhonen - Galchenyuk - Radulov
Byron - Danault - Shaw
Carr - Mitchell - Andrighetto
Flynn

No more DD , he doesn't add anything to this team and I'm not basing this on 1 period of hockey.

Byron looks good on that line, Lehkonen may have to earn it.

Byron - Galchenyuk - Radulov
Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Danault - Shaw
Carr - Mitchell - Andrighetto

Flynn

Haven't seen anything from Lehkonen to warrant him a top 9 spot, i'd put Ghetto or Carr on the 3rd line and Lehkonen on the 4th (instead of Flynn).

No one cares
Without DD the team is actually free to play hockey and although this is a very simple statement it is actually vey true. There is an element of offense and defense on each line with no player having to break from his role to cover for the deficiencies of Desharnais.

Great period! I wonder if the team is playing to keep DD out of the line up. :handclap:

Throw DD off the team and bring Big Mac!

Lehkonen will probably be back in around a week. I'd probably call Terry to give him a week on NHL paycheck and warm the pressbox. Unless you plan to bench Flynn (which I don't see happening for McCarron), calling McCarron up is a waste of his time.

Danault has won 5 of his 6 faceoffs.

He was pretty renown for his face offs when first heard of him

i know DD could win a face off too, but almost always gets completely incapacitated EVERY draw, every single tie up, he either falls, or gets pinned and cant move, more than anyone ive ever seen

so at least its nice to see some kind of consistency early on from Danault, its early, but its nice. lol

I agree with this 100% !!!!

Whoever played with DD had to play like it was 5 on 4 in defensive zone.

Having everyone on every line working hard and back checking hard is fun to watch!

See Scrubadam, Belial, prairie hab and Southern Hab, people are happy when we are winning and playing well. :naughty:

Now we just need to pawn off DD (I'd even retain 50%) to some team for whatever :yo:

 The thing is we knew this team is capable to play like this, a couple of bad games didn't change our mind.
