People will stop harping on Stoll and Greene when they stop playing like garbage

At some point though you have to accept that things are what they are. Stoll is gone at the end of the year barring a cup.

Greene is here to stay, and until we get our defense back to what it's supposed to be and everyone is slotted in their proper roles, Greene is going to continue to struggle. He's not going to turn into a second pairing defenseman magically just because Voynov was an idiot. He's in over his head and doing the best he can. The sooner some people accept that, the better off we'll all be.

True, it's clear that the bigger problem is everyone is taking more minutes than they should. Greene as a #6 should not be problematic as it has, but I think it's also emphasized how good Martinez is that he can help Greene look competent, they're perfect compliments. McNabb-Greene, not so much.

Not for long. And Hellebuyck needs time in the minors anyways. He's not ready to be a starter and shouldn't be a backup. He needs to play.

My main concern for this game is to make sure none of our guys get hurt. Jets play a heavy, heavy game.

I don't like to see the team broken up but Stoll just doesn't contribute up to his paygrade anymore. Unless he's willing to take a pay cut then we should let him walk. Willie should walk to if he wants too much. It's the unfortunate way things might have to go to stay under the cap and stay competitive.
