I expect nothing to come of this PP and yet another game where the Kings, and in particular Clifford, do nothing physically to intimidate a much softer opponent.

I'm gonna rain a bit on a parade..but the Kings digging themselves holes started all the way back in Chicago during the playoffs. They were just able to overcome it, but that trend has actually carried over into this season and they haven't been able to recover.

I'm really trying to find positives in Mike Richards' game, but I can't point to anything that he is doing well right now.

He's awful. People have nothing tangible to defend him so they bring up intangibles or they talk about all the stuff he won in his prime years. He doesn't score, he is terrible defensively and adds no physicality, it's amazing that people on this board still defend him, I think it's mostly just stubbornness. Kudos to you because you used to be one of his biggest defenders.

I understand being loyal and hoping he would turn it around, but it was a huge gamble by Dean not to buy him out, and it looks like he rolled a 7.

Again with the focus on Richards. Half the team you can't find positives for. They are all playing like ****.

There's lots of tangible--and recent--stuff in the richards thread. Please take it there if you're going to continue this discussion. Thanks!

DD wouldn't get off when the line change happened. He decided to stay out high and keep them on a line change. He was already gassed. And then got the privilege of standing around in our own end for two minutes!!! Bad hockey.

Dean really should do something doughty is playing too much

It's a tough spot. On the one hand, they understandably want to wait until they know what's going to happen with Voynov before making a permanent move. The problem is waiting that long to make a move could hurt the teams standing too much in the meantime. I tell you what, I wished we would've kept Mitchell before the Voynov situation and I'm wishing that even more now.
