Last 4 periods: Shot attempts: Kings 120, Habs/Leafs 55 Goals: Kings 2, Habs/Leafs 8

In other words, we're padding corsi, but no one has the balls to get dirty.

Man, I just finally got internet service back (it's been a travel day), just in time to see the end of first period score. *sigh* I suppose I'm glad I can't see this abomination at the hotel... Kings falling further down the ranking on games won when not scoring first, NOT a good thing.

Never been so happy as to not be at a game.

Yeah, same here. I have clients that have 1/4 season tickets and they used to give me Flyer tickets from time to time but nothing since I became a Kings' fan. Probably a good thing.

I can't imagine Lombardi lets us sink much lower. Maybe a closed door meeting when we get back, or rumors of a trade to get the Kings to wake up. This team is always brutal to watch in December.

Williams is the only guy that gives 100% out there all the time. Don't know how the Kings would go on without him. Next year or the year afterwards. Replacing these kind of guys are gonna be pretty hard. The Mitchells, Scuderis, Williams, etc. It's one thing to get guys with equal talent. I don't know if we can get replacements that equal the talent + character of those guys.

So the Kings don't show up for the first period.
I am shocked.
First time for everything I guess

They actually looked good for quite a bit of the period (after the first few minutes) but just haven't converted.

It's mesmerizing how awful the Kings are away from Staples Center.

And how is it that every late November-December this team just packs up and mails in their performance? This has been an ongoing issue for years.

got good ol' Terry Murray fired about 3 years ago.

Right now, the Oilers are playing better. That entire sequence of goal 1 was something you'd see the oilers defense make, not the Kings.

And just before coming to Toronto, too. I remember John Stevens taking the team to Dairy Queen when they were here, and being surprised any DQ was still open this late.

The Kings got all the pieces. They don't need to trade. We have guys dying. Literally DYING to impress down in the farm. If we had the cap room due to the Voynov fiasco I'm sure there would be some push from below. Everyone up here knows no one is going anywhere. They are too comfortable. There needs to be a push from below!

We do have the cap room.

that's right, forgot about the soul searching at DQ, late night.

There's a commercial in there somewhere.

dec 15th will come first...whatever the result/fallout from the hearing; would result in a trade i would think...

but this is embarrassing, stanley cup champs playing like chumps
