Previous 4 games against Calgary this year:
140 shots for
84 shots against
10 goals for
11 goals against
7% shooting% for
13% shooting% against

Scoring against the Flames this year:

Toffoli - 4G, 1A, 5Pts
Carter - 0G, 3A, 3Pts
Brown - 0G, 3A, 3Pts
King - 1G, 1A, 2Pts
Lewis - 1G, 1A, 2Pts
Doughty - 0G, 2A, 2Pts
Williams - 0G, 2A, 2Pts
McNabb - 0G, 2A, 2Pts
Gaborik - 1G, 0A, 1Pt
McBain - 1G, 0A, 1Pt
Stoll - 1G, 0A, 1Pt
Nolan - 1G, 0A, 1Pt
Kopitar - 0G, 1A, 1Pt
Greene - 0G, 1A, 1Pt
Muzzin - 0G, 1A, 1Pt

Very few of these numbers are good enough.

How the hell are we outshooting them at a two-to-one ratio and not sweeping those games. Should toss in the save percentage of the goalies because an .869 save percentage over four games is ECHL caliber.

Don't try to boss us around Shark's fan! ( Just kidding)

Edit :after I post this I go out to the car turn it on and dream on is playing. I hope that's a sign

That's pretty cool.

“This,” Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau said, “is the biggest game I’ve ever played.

That's what scares me. How many King's players would even have this game in their top 20 in terms of career importance?

Shooting % is how. Shots on goal in and of itself means very little in the grand scheme of things. The shooting % is far more important. That's why taking high % shots is more important than the # taken. We've probably lost about half of the games we've outshot our opponents this season.

With most of the shots not in the high scoring areas, or when they do get a quality shot there's nobody to knock in a rebound.

Better be in the playoffs at the all-star break. Tough to displace teams already there.

Top twenty? Definitely possible. This game decides the playoffs.

But top ten, no way. I can think of five off the top of my head. Three game sevens last year, game five against the Rangers, and game six against the Devils in 2012.

Whatever happens tonight, the last 3 years were worth whatever has to be dealt with next week.

Minn was nowhere to be found, now look at the standing and shake your head. Dubnyk saved their season and carried them into the playoffs.

After the loss against Edmonton, I'm not stressing over this game. While I'd be glad to see the Kings advance and get into playoff contention, and while I would also be disappointed to see them fail to qualify for a playoff spot, I won't be too upset due to the fact that we know that Lombardi will be proactive in preventing them from being in such a position again.

Even Darryl Sutter has alluded to the Kings having too many passengers on the roster this season, and most of those passengers have been veteran players. While we rag on guys like Greene and Muzzin because of his speed or boneheaded decisions, their effort has been consistent. Whereas a guy like Williams or Brown or Stoll who are dragging the team down with their play.

Changes will be coming this off-season, hopefully for the better.

Because Doughty punted a puck behind quick and Carter escorted Gioridano to the GWG, to name a couple.

San Jose... LOL.

Whatever happens tonight, the last 3 years were worth whatever has to be dealt with next week.

I disagree. It would have been better to never have won the cup so that we wouldn't have to hear every turd that's floating to the surface this week gloating about our demise. #mainboardlogic

Williams has floated the entire season; I've seen beer-leaguers play with more heart than him.

Will he finally do something today?

Yep. San Jose fell off a cliff and Minnesota took their spot. That's highly unusual. The standings at the ASB are consistently errily similar to the standings at the end of the season.

Thankfully, very few.

Lombardi's real problem is that he doubled down on loyalty and "the room." Williams is worth keeping around ahead of guys on downright back-breaking contacts that Richards, Brown, and Greene have, although Williams is declining, there's no way he should come back at any more than 2 years. Brown is meh, he's the captain, but that's going to be a killer, but Richards and Greene should have been cut bait with and were not. That is Lombardi's fault, and not anyone else's. I don't think wanting to make changes is the issue as it is actually making it happen. To move Richards, they're going to have to take back somebody's bad contract.

The bright side of missing the playoffs would be that Lombardi will have less difficulty making those tough decisions. If by some miracle we do make the playoffs and go on a similar run, Lombardi may be inclined to keep more of those guys around. Bottom line, the sooner we go out this year, the better off the roster will be next year...but I'd rather win.
