The Flames may be able to play this style in the regular season, come playoffs...no way. See the Avs last year. They capitalized on our mistakes and we didn't when Hiller kicked out those fat rebounds.

DL had to address the D before the deadline. Sutter is right about this not being last years team. This is not a championship caliber lineup. Losing Mitchell and probably Voynov for nothing hurts, no Regehr, seeing how much this team relies on McNabb with him out tonight...can only imagine what DL has up his sleeve but we are a one round and out with this lineup. Funny enough I think our offense is mostly fine, could use a boost at the deadline too but my god this defense.

Schultz sounds like a repeat of what Lewis said following the 4-3 ot loss. Nobody hitting, too much space for their top line, getting beat by small forwards.

It is what it is, this team is inconsistent more so this year than others.Just have to roll with it. To be fair, that was a piss poor effort out of San Jose the other night.

We're really not. Guys are doing drive-bys and bump and gos, not finishing checks. Can be a number of really obvious reasons for that--like conserving energy for this trip or sickness--but Flames aren't paying for anything.
