I think of Ralph Wiggum.

No chance for us against a new coach. That is like 10 times worse for Kings than facing the back-up goalie of a non playoff team.

New coach for the Hens. Better play like you give a damn because they will.

They better: Sens will be in high gear with new coach; then Montreal will be also in high gear with first game following the funeral of the man that has his name on the most Stanley Cups (and the reigning SC champs will be in town); and then the Blues are surfing on the addition of Brodeur.

Alright... 6-5 tonight's score... I'm calling it.. Kopi with a hat trick!

And back to reality.

Not really sure what that funky smell is.... either it's my homemade sauerkraut that's been "aging" for 3.5 weeks or it's the Kings offense.... First time I've tried my hand at making sauerkraut... what could possibly go wrong?

I usually don't post before games but we usually win when I do and lose when I don't. So, we need wins so I'm posting this. GKG!

If they win, it will probably be ugly. If they lose, it will probably be uglier.

Anymore philosophical statements to get out of the way?

From White Men Can't Jump:

Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs.

When I reflect on this and apply what Gloria Clemente is saying, we can cross apply this. You see if they lose and get the lesson on why they lost, they can make the necessary adjustments and go on a winning tear if they learn from it. If they squeak out a win but fail to improve, they may lose the next one and not really change in the standings so it turns out to be a tie and they'll finish at 0.500 this season and be out of the playoffs. That's how a tie is losing.

Kings are 18-7-2 all-time against the Sens. Best winning % against any franchise aside from the new incarnation of the Jets (72.2%) They've also faced the Sens the fewest times of any team (27) aside from the Jets as well.

Weird that they face the Canadiens tomorrow, who as we all know have absolutely shredded us historically (28.5%)

Expecting a big Kings win tonight, I'll go with 4-2.

Also, from the Sens GDT: "Mike Richards on the fourth line. I don't care if he has declined a little its still Mike Richards. Completely unfair."-bert

We're spoiled, even if the last few games have been rough.

They're going with a top line of Greening-Turris-Condra.

Meh. Wake me up in February, to see whether the gutty stretch they'll need to string together is to get into a playoff spot, or try to track down a better position. This team has managed to kill my care for a while :)

I lied. I still care. Please don't suck, and more importantly, please win.

Whiskey jpeg, yadda yadda.
