Much better start to game from Kings last night! Clogged the neutral zone and passing lanes, and Mn kept making horrible passes into these areas. La countered well. And after 4-0, it gave the Kings practice on how to sit on a lead. Game over early. This will happen to a team every now and then. The stat flashed that was interesting was that the Wild had only given up 7 first period goals all season prior to last night.
I remembered your point about scoring off the rush vs. the cycle. I think all 4 of our goals last night were scored just after gaining the attacking zone.
This team can still cycle, and production from it will come back, but seeing all these goals coming off the rush from counterattacks is fantastic. Didn't see a whole lot of them a few years backs.
