I never knew much about Pyatt before his arrival, thought he could do more after seeing him get his first goal earlier but nothing. I wonder what he believes his role to be, whether he is capable of offense (at least more than zero).

He was a really high pick who was supposed to be a top liner with 70 point potential. He never REALLY used his size and, despite some flashes here and there throughout his career, he's mostly been a third liner whose often demoted to the fourth and kind of never has a defined role. His role is kind of "we hope he hits something or scores occasionally, but he's really just a body that's not a liability". Earlier on his career he was given legit top six chances, and he can skate with top six line mates and not look out of place, but he's never been able to seriously contribute. Just doesn't compete enough, IMO. Even playing with the Sedins for the better part of a year, his career high is only 37 points. He was dealt a pretty bad hand in his personal life and seems like a good guy, but he really doesn't have any role on a good, well designed line up.

It's cute that you guys expect Halpern to make like 15 dangles around Hedberg as if he was Nash.

You know he's a 4th liner right?

"Hey Richards, do you want to try to skate it in instead of stopping suddenly and dumping it?"

I was totally teasing. I used to have a soft spot for Bon Jovi, too.

I believe you. I think most of the "haters" today once upon a time rocked it out to the older classics.

But in all fairness they have sucked since "These days" back in 1995.
