Update: I still hate playing the Piles.
I mean, they'll take a clean entry if they can get it, but they will take zero risks to enter the puck. Turning it over at the blue line is basically the biggest sin you can commit here. I think we might be the team with the fewest clean entries in the league.Lol my bad. Didn’t know that was the style
They are Doing a good job against aho line too.Islanders played a good road first period. We gotta turn up the heat in the second.
Because they rely heavily on interference and physically knocking around their opponents...that's much harder on the PK and exposes them moreAs they are constructed, I get why the Islanders might not be good on the power-play. But pretty perplexing to see a defensive team like this be so bad on the penalty kill. Not that I am complaining.
The standard NHL intermission used to be 15 minutes decades ago, now it's been stretched to 18, and that's just regular season. Pretty sure that gets stretched even further in the playoffs. This intermission feels super long.
Boring hockey will do that. This intermission feels super long.
I think necas did a little birdman dance there too awesome
Do they have icings on intermission too? There was 9 in the first period. This intermission feels super long.
Yeah, they talked about that.Note that TBS at least hasn't picked up on yet- Kyle MacLean, who scored their goal, played for the Carolina Hurricanes 14U team when his dad was an assistant here.
