London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

1 would have to assume that in a championship game where the last game there was 4 total goals(knights scored 1) this game won’t be a blowout for either side.

Then again it’s junior hockey and weirder stuff has happened

From a random bar in Montreal!!!

GO KNIGHTS GO!!!!!!!!

Boulton kept out as punishment for getting the team fined twice and suspended 1 game?

I think he only had 2 shifts in 3 games anyway.
His being in the lineup and not playing at all, has taken up a valuable spot that a young player could’ve been using to get valuable experience in this postseason and Memorial Cup run.

Looks like the whistles are staying in the pockets. That's a definite advantage for London
3 calls let go (2 against MH, 1 against London) that weren’t called. Knowing CHL refs, everything will get called in the 2nd.

Valuable experience sitting on the bench and not playing?
Did his replacement sit on the bench for the whole game as Bolton did? Who was it, Van Bommel? Did he get a shift? Can’t remember.

I would’ve thought it would’ve been a good opportunity to get Hawery into the lineup.

Maybe 1 or 2 shifts if that.

Dale isn't going to deviate from what got him here. Boulton served a purpose just sitting on the bench. He's an energy guy. The players love him. With Barkey out it was especially important to have a guy like that there for his teammates. With Barkey back for the Memorial Cup I suspect he was in the lineup for the same reasons, however as previously posted here, the team getting fined twice was likely the reason why he's not there tonight.

Regardless, the experience will come next season and subsequent seasons for Hawrey et al. It's been a successful formula for Dale lo these many years, and he's not about to change it.

And for that, I am happy.

I don't know if rookie mistakes would be well received in this game. Best for Hawery to take notes and learn, and start a new season from scratch with all his teammates. In my opinion!

Dale needs to staple 73s ass to the bench. Hasn't contributed a thing this whole tournament except for skating around like a figure skater.
And trade him to Niagara in the offseason.
