London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

Whether the Knights win the Mem Cup or not, this was a very successful season. They were 1st overall and won the OHL championship. Tournaments like the Mem Cup or WJC come down to puck luck sometimes.

Some fans need to remember they are spoiled by the success of the Knights and to be happy whether they win this tournament or not.

This isn’t about luck, it’s about will. They need to be hungry, but in control to know when to pick their spots. It is not just the hardest thing in sports but in life, the balance between drive and temperance and making good decisions more often than you opponent.

Go Knights Go!!!!!!

I don't think it's a slam dunk. Probably at some point but Keith Tkachuk has 500+ goals 1000 points and still not in. Zetterburg isn't either as well you mentioned Mogilny. It's the HOF not the hall of good.
Tkachuk hasn't won an NHL award and the only team trophy is a gold at the World Cup. Dale Hunters point totals are not that far off Tkachuk and he has more than Zetterburg.

Theo Fleury is overdue as well.

The HOF makes no sense to me at times.

Before JR got in, my argument against the Sedin twins and Alfie inductions, was:

Who would you rather go into the playoffs with on your roster?

The Sedin twins, and Daniel Alfredson?

Or,

JR, Mogilny and Theo Fleury?

I know who I’d pick and it wouldn’t be the Swedes.

Suppose now that JR has been inducted, I can swap out his name for Rod Brind’Amour.

Given Fleury's jump off the political deep end on social media, I wouldn't expect it to happen any time soon.

This will never happen given his social media comments
And that’s part of what’s wrong with the HHOF.

That stuff shouldn’t matter.

That’s why he’s not in and it’s not right. That and a lot of the off ice stuff that was talked about in his book (boozing and drugging. Not the Graham James stuff).

JR being controversial kept him out for years.

Eric Lindros waited for years because of his no report to Québec.

I’m sure there’s some inane reason for Mogilny to be on the outside.

Over time, once those with axes to grind step down off the election committee, we may see guys like Fleury and Mogilny finally inducted.

Let’s hope Perry’s time in Chicago isn’t held against him what the time comes.

Looking quickly looks like a Canada jersey but I see it now. Nice!

I almost bought one at the Hawks store on Michigan Ave when I was there but it was right when eveything was going down.
Got mine before everything went down, but got it signed the summer after. He had no issues with it

Team Canada is above the Hawks

Doubtful the Chicago situation will have any bearing. Mist people don't know what really went down, and certainly the fans don't. Fluery isn't going in partly because of his dirty laundry being out in the open.

I think we got this, they were the better team in all three games and came up a bit unlucky.

Rob Simpson as practice goalie says it all, boys will know what it feels like to hit the back of the net….. that was just classy as hell.

I was wondering if we would see Barkey reunited with Cowan. This is a good thing to me if they are able to do this for atleast part of the game.

I don't think Dale will hesitate if they need a spark. He has had Fs rotate on lines often due to soecial teams, ect.....

I just want to see them be aggressive in executing the gameplay. Whatever that is the staff has come up.with after seeing the opponent just a few days ago.
Last year Saginaw took it to them for the first half game until LK woke up. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.
Just looking forward to a high compete level from both sides.
Luck is just preparation meeting opportunity and hopefully London gets some tonight.
8-3 London, with 5 in the 2nd lol.

Go Time!
Who wants to make a play, hard work pays off, take it to make it, full 60.....blah blah lol

Biggest concern for me and it may not be an issue, but getting goalied early while creating chances n not putting em in. The longer those type games go the harder it gets to score.

Tried to buy 50/50 tickets but I'm out the area lol. TY Quebec. That's a crap ton of $ you left on the table for a charity by not registering in another province or finding a way to allow to Ontario n Western provinces to purchase. (not sure of east coast)
Oh well.
