London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

There's alot of ppl screaming for Gibsons to be suspended that thought Woolley should not have been penalized as Ramano jumped out of the way like Sim. Woolleys suspension was garbage and so a suspension against Gibson would be garbage aswell.
True. And Romano didn't "jump out of the way".

Told ya'll there would be a chance of Barkley getting in on Thursday. Even if it is in a limited roll.

He has been skating for the last week or so, abeit gingerly but started to ramp it over the last few days.
Happy to see Sim is okay as well, now if the can win this game and series without suffering any major injuries

I checked the lines sheet. London has 19 skaters dressed for warmups including 13 forwards. One needs to be scratched. Hope Barkey and Sim play but don't think it will matter.

The guy who should've been suspended for a dirty knee hit, opens the scoring
The guy that should be suspended also got a holding penalty for a collar tackle. Seems like a dangerous play and should be more than that. He needs a clock cleaning and will get it some day.

I can't recall seeing a horse collar in hockey. To me it's the same as a slew foot

Man....I really wish I went to the game tonight for so many reasons.....but one of the best reasons is tonight they were firing hotdogs into the crowd with the t-shirt cannon. Unless my wife is punking me this is one of the greatest things ever to happen during a Knights game. Very 1970's 1980's of them. I heard next year in the home opener that Sim is coming back as a special guest to wrestle a bear in between the first and second period.

I recall the Blue Jays did that a few years back. They stopped doing it after one game when a fan got plugged in the face with a hotdog from close range

London are OHL Playoffs Champions, their franchise's sixth with 5-2 victory over Oshawa

Again, Elliott proved his worth, we can have faith in him, he's been riding under the radar all year
They play like champs, too, matching the Gens intensity step for steps, strong team effort once again.
Nice that the players should all be healthy for the “M” Cup for a change.
This version is right up there with the very best of all Knights teams

Now, let's finish up what was missed last season, but this time win the very last game of the big silver thin cup.

Whammo! Back-to-back OHL Champions! What's that...6 OHL championships in 19 years? It was a long 12 months waiting for this one.
Congrats on a great season and playoffs...one of my favourite Knights teams of all time.

Now, let me ask this: Who in the Hell (buyck) said that Elliot can't win playoff series? And, would not back stop London to an OHL championship? Speak up. OMG...I think I remember!
That was a very good team we just beat in 5 games. Ritchie, Sennecke, Barlow, Gibson, Danford, etc...
Of those 1st round NHL picks (forwards), Cowan was the best of the bunch. And, Halttunen (2nd rd) pick stole the show. Gibson and Barlow couldn't push them over the top but they did win one game against London...a major accomplishment in itself.

Halts MVP!!!!!!!!

We're not done...on to Rimouski!

Hedon rating: 11/10

Who was that guy that said Elliott wasn't a playoff goalie? Where is he now?
Oshawa played a great series, much respect to them. I will always fondly remember helping each other win Memorial Cups in 2015 and 2016 with the trades of McCarron, Mermis, Pu, Graves etc.
Congrats to the Knights on winning the OHL title. Now let's get that 3rd Memorial Cup!
Very cool that Haltunnen wins the 99 with his parents in the house!
