I have gone back and to watch some game replays of last night victory, this team played extremely well.
London were clearly offensively outplayed in the third last night, with a shots margin 15 to 4 in Oshawa's favours. With that said, London did match the intensity defensively that resulted in no scoring for Oshawa. When we hear matching the intensity on defence, we should go back to last night's game for references. Dale's system was perfectly executed, this is why London finished first and are the premier junior organization in the country.
We may have seen Elliott's best showing in a London uniform in the third period, he was fighting the puck earlier on but not in the third, he was a very determined young man. His progress from game one against Owen Sound to game fourteen of these series has just been phenomenal. London can win a cup with a goaltender like him in net, he has found his groove ever since the third game of the Erie's series
