London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

Some dumb penalties, but also some brutal, brutal calls..never thought I'd say it but London got shafted by the stripes tonight.
Thanks. All the Answers is the biggest troll/Knights hater but gets a free pass from the mod crew all the time. For some reason we have to pretend the pompous Rags fans are buddies here. Any simpleton can see this team has been getting shafted and it is far from the first time the past 18 months. Far be it for me to agree with Fastpace, but Dale and Mark have outgrown this mom and pop legaue. If you cannot see the one sidedness all season (and last), first, remove your head from butt and then check the PIM numbers.

Medvedev next game? Elliot was ok, but seriously his first loss in a while and he MUST WIN game 2 cause if he doesn’t the Knight’s are cooked
Take a breath. Elliott made some saves when it counted. Knights took too many penalties.

Want to blame someone, blame Cowan. Back to his lazy play and looks disinterested out there. He will get a wake up call in the AHL next season.

are you kidding me. 2 minutes imbellishing when you are cross-checked to the head that could have been reviewed as a 5 minute penalty. Hard to stay out of the box when refs are looking only at one team. Good job controlling Gens on defense.
Yeah terrible call there. And you know if it was Sim doing that he would of got 4 mins

With all that being said, if that’s the best the East has to offer (with triple the powerplays), London shouldn’t have a problem the rest of the series. One of London’s weaker games all year and they still had the 5-on-5 edge when Mac Nichol and friend weren’t going to bat for Tullio.

I'm sorry, but if you can't see which team pushes the envelope initiating shenanigans after most every whistle and recognize that correlation to PIM I don't know what to say. I love a team with sandpaper, but there is certainly a relationship.

Never going to find it but I'd love a breakdown by team of embellishment calls. Honestly I watch the Knights (gold standard) second most to the Rangers so my view is only that they take many more than Kitchener, but not sure where they stand league-wide.

Bogus call on the Cowan interference, back breaker on Monty.

I still called Knights in 5 and have a good sense it will happen. Extra home date is fine with the Hunters, I imagine.

I was at the game so didn’t hear any commentary I try to take it easy on tbe refs but tonight was a joke , Sim diving after being crosschecked in the face cmon !! but I would like to know from the replay I saw Cowan was knocked into Oster by a Oshawa player then we scored . Shouldn’t this have counted as a goal ? ?? Somebody fill me in on the rule please .

They called a penalty for goaltender interference. I rarely flip on the refs but these guys were worse than ***king brutal!!!

Dude, you are so sure of yourself as an “unbiased” observer and are quick to call out others for their biased views (on their own board). Your obliviousness to your own biases is shocking. Your opinion is that of a Ranger fanboy which equals that of a London hater (easily the most biased group of the OHL following). Nothing more, nothing less. You’ve got about as much credibility as Billyjack. Only with concise and coherent sentences.

Agreed on penalties ( minus the embellishment lol ) but since you watched, did 'Shwa deserve a couple more penalties based on the standard

It should have counted. The rule was ignored.

Now that we all have blown off steam on how bad the officiating was (and rightly so) the game was still winnable if Cowan, O’Rielly, Sim, Julien, Montgomery, Nicholl contributed to the offence. They didn’t and the Knights lost.

A little surprised he abandoned the move he's had success with on Oster when in all alone.
