London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

Which Cowan do we see showup this series? Are we getting the Cowan that we have seen the previous few rounds, or do you think he plays a little gun shy knowing this is the team that gave him a significant injury that slowed him noticeably for a few months?

Oshawa is a big fast team, we are not going to be able to "intimidate" them and do what we have done the previous three rounds. With that being said they still have to continue to play physical, but they are going to have to be SMART. It seems strange to say but I think Oshawa might have the better 1 through 6 D core. We have the best defenseman but they have the better D as a whole. Thoughts?

I am not sure about the 1 - 6 dmen being better. I have watched Oshawa play a bit and I disagree to a certain degree. I find that when their D goes up in the play they are very susceptible to the breakout pass by the defending team. That has a lot to do with the forwards not covering for them. Yes, their d is good. I like our d especially when your third pairing has Allen on it. He would be on many team's 1st pairing. I especially love Wooley. He has stood out to me as one of the most under-rated players in the league and we are lucky to have him.

A number of (road/away) broadcasters said throughout the regular season that the Knights are the fastest team they have seen come to town.
As for the D, our top 4 are hands down better (see our goals against this season vs Oshawa's). But, yes, Oshawa has a very good D corps and dynamic forwards (Sennecke, Ritchie, Barlow, Griffin).
Our forwards will need to keep their head up with Sandhu and Danford always ready to deliver big hits. Stay out of the box. I don't want special teams to decide the series.

GO Knights GO …… take no prisoners boys!
Don’t let them run our players. Let’s hope they don’t resort to trying to injure our stars. If they do Dale Hunter can make the boys play any way any style.

With discipline !

If we all remember, the Gens came to London and beat the Knights, by running down London Players, Cowan comes to mind and there were others. If London maintains their composure, the Generals will be compelled to go in the sin box alone. Also, make Oster move side to side or go mid-height stick side on him, he seem to have an awkward butterfly posture when going down against Barrie

Uh oh

Personally, I won't mind at all if I only get to see 2 more home games. 1. It'll save me some money that can be applied to next year's seasons tickets.
2. It'll only happen if the Knights register another 4 wins in succession, to go 16 - 0

Come on Knights ... Save me some bucks !!!:hit::cheer:
