London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

That's like Elliott against OS numbers. That powerhouse attack team...
Actually 3.00 GAA and 0.887 SP against an OS team that gave us better competition than the 'rebuilding' Rags.
Not bad for a goalie that wasn't even considered for Goalie of the Year, yet has only lost 1 game all season and undefeated thus far in the playoffs.

This was by far Elliot’s best game of the series. I have to eat crow and admit he can make the big saves. Glad to be wrong.
And 3 stars (alphabetically) to the best Kights in the series Dickinson Julien Nurmi. The whole team played great but those three stood out to me.

Tougher Challenge coming in the Finals. I don't see a sweep in that Series. Have to play Damn near perfect to pull this one out IMO.

Need a healthy Barkey back. If not defensive play first will be the only route to success. Which is possible. Not exciting but possible.

Anyone know Barkeys timeline? Same with Van Gorp. Both would be great to have back for the finals!

Either way so impressed with Julien this series. Responsible, physical and just fantastic two way play. Sim was a factor in every game and he was very disciplined this series. Halttunnen a physical factor and decided to stay disciplined.

I was so impressed with the Knights performance last night and throughout this series.

Looking forward to a fun and hard fought finals. It won’t be easy and both teams will be extremely motivated.

Would love to see Barrie come back and stretch their series to 7 games so if there's a chance Barkey can come back. 🤞
It would make for a much easier path to the Memorial Cup for London. But if the ultimate goal is to win the Memorial Cup this season, the Knights could use a bit of a challenge.

Good luck the rest of the way.

At this point I'm thinking about making the Habs my main game. It could be their last this season, at least if the Knights lose there will be more games played. If the same situation arises Friday it won't matter because I'll be at the Knights game.
Oh, what about us Ranger / Hab fans?? What do we do tomorrow night?
😰
I won’t cry. But in both respects, the future is bright. Neither team was supposed to be where they’re at this year.

Cheers and good luck in the final.

Congrats on an impressive season. Hard not to like Parsons...good kid and destined for pro hockey. Jussi is the right person to have behind the bench moving forward. I expect the Rangers and Windsor to battle it out for best in the West next year much to my chagrin. This is not an AI generated post although it reads as such.

I remember in 2022 the Hamilton Bulldogs went 12- 0 in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs. They lost their 1st game in the league finals to the west champs ( the Spits) which were considered coming from the weaker conference. Hamilton prevailed in 7 games but it was a far tougher final than most predicted.
This year the east was touted as the stronger conference as I think it was but the West always produces 1 or 2 strong teams that will give any team a run for their money. London is that team but don't underestimate the strength of the team coming out of the east. They will have battled strong teams to get to the finals.
I believe London will take it but there will be some really close games, maybe some OT and maybe even a couple of loses.
It will be a good test before heading to The Memorial Cup. Coasting into the Cup round robin would be a recipe for disaster. Be safe.

I hope Oshawa closes it out tonight and we get a rematch of last years finals with two really good healthy teams.

The knights have not been challenged, we need a good test before the memorial cup. I would pin a picture of Zayne Perekh hoisting the cup in the Knights locker room.

Don’t take you foot off the gas fellas!

Seeing Barkey do not think we will see him in final. Could be possible for Mem. Cup if were there. Interesting to see how much fight Barrie has.

Congrats to the Knights have to confirm to all those wondering …… ITS AWESOME TO BE A KNIGHTS FAN!!!! Buckle up Oshawa is going to be hungry with the taste of revenge in their mouths. LOL 😆 So hopeful a miracle happens and we get Barkey back? Would suck for him to end his Knights career watching his buddies play from the stands.

Have to hand it to Elliott he seems to be able to make the critical stop when most needed. He is the product of the defense in front of him for sure but so far is more than adequate back there. NOT NOW, but still maintain would have been nice to see our “kid” get a start or two in the playoffs. GO Knights GO …. 12 down 8 to go.

Unfortunately 😀 I don't think you can count London out either. It's going to depend if Mark decides to go into retool mode or not.

Gonna need to shutdown Sennecke Richie and Barlow. They are men amongst boys right now.

But also the boys will need to come out guns blazing and get Oshawa on their heels. I think that’s a great game plan too.
