London Knights 2024 - 25 Season Thread, Part VII

I’ve been to most arenas in the OHL ad a Knights fan and by far Kitchener had the worst fans. They don’t cheer, they complain. Even if they’re winning they still complain about refs etc.
Tonight some Ranger fan wearing a jersey number 94 (not sure on the name) got so worked up about the Knights layers celebrating he went after Sim when he came off the ice after being announced as the 1st star. Shame on the cop that was right there that basically did nothing about it. This fan was swearing loudly (with kids around) and literally trying to hit Sim by leaning over the railing.
I get it, as a Ranger fan you’re sick of being abused by London year in and year out but the depth they take it to….claiming having 13 NHL drafted players is a conspiracy (was said on their call in show after the game), claiming the refs were paid and affected the game against Kitchener when it was 5 penalty’s for London, 3 against Kitchener and LDN’s included a 5min major and a double minor…asking for London players to be hurt intentionally……
For these and many other reasons it gives me great pleasure when Kitchener loses and even more so when it’s at the hands of the Knights.
Wednesday could be “Kitchener elimination day”, who’s celebrating with me? 😂
Wow I’ve heard stuff said and posted but that Ranger fan brutal Great post Knight 77
I love beating Kitchener too ! I didn’t see that Hlcar guy out there last night either

So, Knights & Habs fans... both teams play tomorrow at 7pm. Knights could eliminate the Rags, but it could also be the Habs last game.

I'm fortunate enough to have two TVs set up, so I can have both games on. But if you had to choose only one, which one is it?

Also, I wish I put in a third TV when we did our renovation.. because the Cubs are on at 6:40 😃

Just as the other day when both played and I was travelling to hotel for 7pm......radio, media silence and PVR. I can only watch one at a time when it's at this point

At this point I'm thinking about making the Habs my main game. It could be their last this season, at least if the Knights lose there will be more games played. If the same situation arises Friday it won't matter because I'll be at the Knights game.

Unfortunately every fan base has bad fans. Except London. You guys are not only the best; you're perfect. Otto even has a setup with 2 TVs for goodness sake 🤣

I'm sure the initial impact that Romano felt was significant and he feared he was seriously injured. Fortunately he wasn't.
Agreed remember catching a puck in the eye playing "beer league" hockey. The panic of it was real assuming the worse at the time of impact. Early 20's thinking I had potentially a serious eye injury was scary. 10 minutes later once the watering stopped and normal vision returned to it back out I went. LOL still remember it .....

There were many people who wanted Ando. Don’t kid yourself, if he was a Knight he would be loved
Kitchener uses and asks way to much of Ando. I hope for his future he doesn't get seriously injured out there as clearly he is absolutely gassed half way thru the game. He would not be relied on or used like this in London. He is a solid D-Man who in London would be cheered on for his dedication to team success and overall toughness. Stupid penalties are often the result of fatigue ....

Dale has historically shown he will ride his horses until they collapse underneath him. So, maybe naw...

Ando would have been a good pick-up, but doubt they would have traded for Allen. So fine with that, Wooley does a good job playing that role.
Noticed Sawyer patrolling the redline before the London-Victoriaville game at the Memorial Cup, trying to intimidate. Was a bit surprised and embarrassed by it to be honest. At least he could back it up though. Ryder doesn't scare anyone. He should probably sit out after this series if they finish it. Play Aboflan instead. The Knights lack of discipline concerns me.

You mean Drummondville, don't you?

I would ditch both Abo and Ryder. Move 73 to the 4th line with VanBommel and Spencer, and bring up Hawery to the third line.

I hope that EVG returns soon as he provides even more speed and some possible offense to the 4th line. Although 73 doesn’t provide much offense, he provides a lot of speed, forecheck, and defensive responsibility.

Which would make him great on the 4th line

We got Cam Allen He’s way better !

i would like to know how the OHL comes up with goaltender of the year?
I have a feeling there is a hate on that London is at the top of the league and rarely has a down year team wise. Is it to spread the wealth and make teams feel a bit better. It was a stretch to have their coach get Coach of the year when he is out coached most times and blames everyone but himself or his players.

London success has very little to do with the goalie. Kitchener success has everything to do with Parsons. Just can’t look at a stat and because Elliot has a .004 better save percentage he deserves goalie of the year. I’m sure 98% of Knights fans would agree that Parsons is the better goalie and carried his team. I don’t think Elliot carried his team?

Yes, clearly Parsons meant more to Kitchener than Elliott did to the Knights. Overall, I think most Knights fans are happy with Elliott's play. A strong D and depth up front sure help.
