Disappointing was all pumped up for a great Game One and it was over by the end of the first maybe even sooner? Refs biggest problem imo was the need to always “even” things up. All the after whistle crap will stop if you start taking just one or giving an extra minor out to the aggressor / instigator. Man poor ole Barkey just can’t seem to get a break this season? Hopefully no pun intended on the “break” comment!

You nailed it, all night I could here the refs after every whistle yelling " I am only taking one " yet every scrum ended up with either no one going, or it being evened up. This whole mess falls in their laps for not having the balls to make calls either way for either team. I don't want to hear the OHL giving me any more "player safety" lectures and then reward these constant shitty officials after god awfully officiated game. The OHL should be embarrassed that this is what they send out for conference finals games. Maybe Papa Hache should be let go director of officiating?

OHL officials feel like it’s there job to manage games even if it’s at the expense of player safety.

Maybe play hockey instead of bringing the game into the gutter. Sometimes injuries happen in contact sports. Like the one to Barkey. Should the Knights retaliate for that one ?

Probably will. That’s why Boulton is there.

Will be a fun game 2 to watch hopefully nobody gets injured but both teams will be pissed about their losses. If it turns to be a blowout- they’ll be even more pissed.

Denver Barkey has been the lead by example player for the Knights all year. Let’s hope the team adopts the “win for Denver” mantra until he is back. His absence will be noticeable and missed.

That is the style that is making Barkey so successful, isn't it? He goes at places and does things on the ice that so many wouldn't dare. He is the type of captain that leads through examples on the ice, and seems very verbal around his teammates off the ice, from all accounts

Need to focus on playing a full 60 minutes with speed and skill. Don’t let Kitchener muck it up and leave all the after the whistle bullshit and skate away.

Disagree. Boulton needs to play. I've been saying this since the regular season, Rags are soft. Boulton brings an element of physicality the Knights need. Windsor took a 3-0 lead playing a physical game, and fell apart when they couldn't do it any longer due to injuries and having to change their game plan.

Keep up the pressure, and if Barkey is out like we all expect, dress Aboflan. Don't let up

You mean more than the many runs, cross checks etc they took at 12 for the rest of the game? If that’s going to be Kitchener’s focus might as well call the series now. London rarely loses games that are of the dirty blood bath variety.

looking forward to watching. Don’t really care who wins just want a good hockey game. Hopefully nobody gets hurt

Two teams that are very much built the same way, playing a similar style. One, a little older with two years of experience, the other, much younger, eager to collect experience. The Knights are playing the Rangers, a younger version of themselves. Should be a fun series to watch, what ever the outcome.
