posts 924 and 925, thank you. Your team didn’t make it easy at all especially tonight and game one.

Knights will have their hands full with the Spits. Expecting a long series or at least all games to be close.

The play by Cowan on the winning goal was a thing of beauty. That top line has really been the difference in every game so far in the playoffs. Would like to see a new line made up with Nurmi-Sim-Halttunen.

I thought London was public enemy #1 in Erie. The number of empty seats in the game was disappointing. Tough for the home team to play in front of empty seats. But kudos for the Otters for their effort in the series.

Spits are a deep, big, young, fast team!
Spits will be a huge test.

They are an absolute wagon at home. I believe they have won 16 games in a row on home ice. And went 3-0 against London at home this season. There will be a lot of pressure on London to make sure they hold home ice advantage in games 1 and 2 of the series.

A plan will need to be in place on how the Knights are going to slow down Greentree and Protas. Kitchener was ill prepared for them and has paid dearly.

I don’t think A Spits series will resemble rounds 1 and 2. I think we are going to see a real playoff series with some back and forth.

I agree !

London has to show up for the full 60-minute every game, the ones in Windsor too. In Windsor, they led in every game, ending up losing strong in the third, in one game, playing the Spits on their third game of a three game weekend. In that game, the Knights were outshot 42 to 15, absolutely no excuses for this kind of performance against a tired team. If they play well for the full 60 minutes and stay disciplined, they will win this series. If they don't, then they should start preparing for next fall.

The one Knights player who truly elevated his defensive plays a couple notches in these series is Jesse Nurmi. With his smart positional plays and strong skating, he has been killing the opposition defensively.
Kudos too him . He also chipped in some positive offensive forechecking that lead to 2 of the 3 goals in 31 seconds which was a key time in this series

My opinion on a potential London/Windsor series is that the outcome will be determined by the amount of injuries that Windsor has had. So far, they've compensated by their 1st line stepping up and providing the necessary goals to win. Their secondary scoring really tails off, and is reliant on first year players

Eventually, that 1st line will run out of gas, especially when they encounter a team that's determined to shut them down, I'd gladly match up London's depth against any combination that Windsor has to offer.

Two keys to winning will be::
1. Windsor's 1st line has to be smothered defensively
2.. Our depth players have to outperform theirs , and I believe that they 're quite capable of doing so.
3. Win decisively in their barn, and shatter that illusion of invincibility.:cf::fight:

I also agree with your analysis, at a condition that Knight's secondaries outplays Windsor's. They may not be as talented as their first line, but they are still very dangerous, after all, they are OHL caliber players that made a very good team's roster

That top line is already starting to run out of gas. Spits are really only playing two lines while the Rangers are rolling four. It’s incredible the quality that is out hurt on that team. Last game that top line was invisible, seemingly easily kept off the scoresheet. And Parsons was his old self.

I’m not saying the Rangers will win out because of this, but the potential is there to make it a long series which would be very bad news should Windsor prevail and face a well rested London team.

Personally I want a London vs Kitchener series so definitely pulling for you guys to just do the reverse sweep. It’ll take some good hockey, but the rangers team is a good team and capable. Either way we will be watching from a far.

I agree Windsor is mainly a two line team. They are deep, but the top line (really Greentree and Protas) must be shut down/neutralized to beat them

Well… we were deep. Now 1/3 of our dressed guys are 08’s lol.

I don’t believe a series is over until one team has won 4 games… safe to assume the limited tickets I’m seeing through Ticketmaster are truly what’s available?

You can lie to me if you don’t want Spits fans making the trip, I understand 😂

Yeah more seats filled during the season

Same. It won’t happen but I would just love for Barkey to play with BMO.

Sim - O’Rielly - Cowan
Barkey - Julien - Montgomery
Nurmi - Nicholl - Halttunen

O’Rielly and Cowan have chemistry. Barkey and BMO have chemistry, and Nurmi and Halttunen have chemistry. Same with Nicholl and Halttunen.
