This is really shameful officiating, for this level, all series. Dale from 20 years ago would be reaming Ferguson out.

Feel bad for George. He looks like he's been through a war. At what point does the coach pull him do he can get the ovation he deserves?

He threw a hit in the 2nd and went to the bench in some pain it looked like, he might be nursing something.

Wow....no one seems to want to help out Elliott. That last goal was a complete defensive breakdown.

Goaltending issue? Look, yes the Knights are winning. And not all goals are 31’s fault. But wow that’s a bad save percentage and when the games get tougher and face better offences, is he going to step up? Let’s put it this way, I feel like the leash may have just got shorter where if he struggles in the next series like this one, he’s coming out.
Remember, it isn’t about the Attack etc….its about it the Memorial Cup (just ask any Knights player)….is this good enough to beat Moncton? No, not when you allow as many goals as they did against the 8th place team who’s offence centred around two 17 year olds.

You wanted a first round opponent that worked hard, and tested you. OS did that...a young team with a bright future.
Looks like Erie will be our round 2 opponent. Who picked Erie? To be honest, I wanted Saginaw.

To be fair to Elliott most of the goals given up were after the Knights had a big lead and went on cruise control. The defensive coverage was less than ideal. That situation won’t happen as often in later rounds and the defensive lapses won’t happen nearly as often either. The Knights knew they were going to win this series and put in just enough effort to win it and avoid injuries.

Post game Coach said he asked him if he wanted out Carter wanted to finish the game .

And the right choice. Carter is an excellent goalie. The scores would have been even more inflated without him. Good on him for wanting to stay in the game and be there with his team. Says a lot about his character.
Next series Kinghts have to make only one lineup change. Replace Montgomery with Van Bommel. And move Van Gorp to 3rd line and RVB to 4th line. Montgomery is not showing anything in the playoffs and has been the cause of at least 3 goals. Not being critical but realistic.
But I thought heMontgomery has made a couple coverage mistakes as have a bunch of others. Maybe slide VanBommel in a drop Ablofan but I thought he played well for limited action he got.
The Knights just swept a series and some fans want players fired into the sun.
What will make you guys happy? Every player getting 10pts a game and the goalie getting a SO every game?
Do you perform at a 100% everyday at work? These are teenagers and things can affect how they play. They are human, they make mistakes.
Just enjoy watching a good team play good hockey and stop looking for perfection where it doesn’t exist.

From the opposition point of view, the Knights were about picture perfect.
Every time they allowed a goal, the response was to score a goal.
Whatever anyone may think is lacking, is easily countered .
Goal scoring, goal tending, hits, speed, coaching , it's there .
Enjoy it all.
Congrats to the boys solid Round 1 victory. Really impressed with this team’s discipline. OS was capable and did lay the body / sticks on at times but for the most part the guys kept their cool. Important characteristic down the road! Cheers
