London Knights 2024-25 Season Thread, Part VI

Naw, it had to go to Jackson Parsons. The Rangers wouldn’t be where they are without him.

The Knights may have not had as great as a record without Elliott, but they would still arguably be one of the best teams in the OHL just with Medsy and let’s say Finn Wilson.

Not saying Elliot doesn’t deserve his flowers, but Parsons was solid all year.

I’m more ticked that Michael Simpson didn’t win Goalie Of the Year last year
Elliot had 1 loss all season!

Johnson according to announcers best Spirit player just fell into boards awkwardly and injured shoulder and went down cutway

Erie will use this win over the Knights as a mental boost for their series against Saginaw, even if it was a depleted lineup.
As predicted, an 8-5 Erie first series game win over Saginaw !

Some might say, Saginaw's Oak is injured and had a rookie in net. The 18-year-old rookie goalie made this OHL team lineup from the start, he is an OHL caliber goalie. If the Spirit is having problem with him in net, it's on them for not better preparing their 20 men team system with Papineau in net, they had the whole season to do it. Erie will likely lose the next game, based on how this game ended. However, they have no doubt used the London game as momentum to spring them over to this game

I have said it many time, Erie scares me because of Erliden!

Erliden stood on his head in the first period, ya it may have been an 8-5 game but I am saying he stole it. Could have very easily been 3 or 4 nothing after that first period for Saginaw!

Saginaw's goaltending is too far from being championship caliber, especially with the D they have in front of them. With that being said, I would say Saginaw has something to prove in game two. Misa, Chernyshov, Parekh all in the minuses badly! -4,-5 and -2 respectively.

That is all we can hope for..although we all know that Saginaw is not going to kick anyone's ass. They will find the dearest diving board and hope the stripes can carry them through.

At least in round one we "should" have an easy series. If Owen Sound had any more skill than Mbuyi playing in front of George there might be room for a scare. As cool as it may be, I can't see George pulling off 4 wins all by himself. Feel bad for him!

As Stubbsy said. Owen sound will be a tough opponent and hopefully gets the Knights guys in the zone. To beat OS they will need to be sharp and good. George can steal games man

And had cut Sim like many wanted 🤣
Crickets for this forum..

He’s good but he’s just like Jackson Parsons. He will make some frustrating and ridiculous saves, but he is definitely beatable. Just means those games will be 3-2 instead of 6-2 because of Parsons or Erliden.
