London Knights 2024-25 Season Thread, Part V

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I had to laugh when I looked at the highlights of last night's game with Erie on the OHL site. A number of saves by Erie's goalie and the one goal by Erie are shown... nothing else. I am assuming the Erie broadcast team puts these highlights together, SMH.

The whole Erie broadcast experience is a complete embarrassment. From their insufferable play-by-play duo (yes, worse than Sloany and Doyle) to the horrible quality of their video and camera work to the fact that you can hear the play by play of the opposing team's broadcaster over their own broadcast. What a joke! The Zapruder film is better quality and less jittery. Funny how the Otters see London as their arch nemesis when the Knights don't even think about Erie at all. The entire organization is becoming the Ice Dogs of the OHL.

Well Erie GM use to be the Icedogs GM and the team was based in Niagara Falls

Question, with Medvedev starting, it'll mark his 4th start out of 5 chances this season against the Kitchener Rangers. Is he the true #1 or is it a 1a/1b situation? Who is the anticipated starter come playoff time?

Honestly I think they were way worse than they used to be . It must be there fans making those London Sucks etc signs and shirts. I can’t see them selling them , never seen anything like that in London

Not really a 1A 1B based on who is better but Medvedev will be with you guys until he’s atleast 19 so that may put him ahead. But Elliot also has some playoff experience too and is older so come playoff time that may put him ahead.

Regardless good situation to be in and if one is playing worse than the other they can switch at any time.

Dale would probably lean Elliot for experience but no wrong answer.

I'd guess they both get games rd 1 and as the post season progresses they'll play the hot hand.

I get the impression that Medvedev has slowly taken over a bit and has the slight edge as the #1.
 
Van Bommel with a two game suspension from last nights game. He did finish the game. Must have been his 4th fight which is an automatic suspension.

They have been going every other, it’s just the way it’s been lining up. It’s a 1 A/B situation for sure.
I’d expect Elliot to start playoffs, but I could also see them continuing the rotation.

They counted the game he got suspended in as 1 of the 2 games, since it happened within the first 10 minutes.
