Agreed!

Good to get the win. Erie played well. Knughts prevailed. Yes the line switching was good! Aboflan should have been in!

Ty Henry is a hated man amongst knights players !

Aboflan over Boulton is probably the better lineup choice. I have nothing against Boulton but I think Aboflan is the more skilled player. But each have positive impacts to the lineup.

I just noticed that Boulton did have trouble keeping up with RVB and EVG as they are both speedsters.i do think Abo is a better skater. They’ll probably rotate them and Noah Read as well in and out of the lineup. All are capable OHL players. I just really like what Abo brings to the table

Believe if you guys win 1 more game and Guelph loses 1 more then you clinch the playoffs already over Guelph and owen sound
Owen Sound can max out at 78 points and Guelph at 79 points, that is not factoring in games against each other, just max points from games remaining. So, we are 2 points from clinching a playoff spot.

Erie’s goalie made probably 5-6 saves of the week types to rob the Knights. They stuck to it and prevailed.
That is the big reason Erie is one of the only teams that scare me in the West. Erie is vastly under performing and they have arguably the best goalie in the West if you do not look purely at the numbers. I think Erie has the better team top to bottom than Kitchener player wise, but Kitchener just seems to be able to play well above their means. Maybe good coaching does that??

Flint is my pick. Day has been great.

So what’s your order of teams that scare you from the West?

Zack Bowen almost scored a goal tonight

Saw something funny while watching Petes/Generals game. With about 3:30 left in the third of a 2-2 tie game, Bowen went to retrieve the puck on the side wall, wanting to backhand it behind his net to his D, he actually sent it across his crease onto the far post and it stayed out. It was kind of fun to see his reaction 🤣

Did that happen on Friday night against Erie? I got to the game late. Work related matters.
No, but the tariffs were not official then. It happened tonight at the Sens game and will no doubt gain momentum. Personally I don't have an issue with it per se, I don't think the anthems should be played at sporting events anyway unless it's international competition. But booing when kids are singing is wrong. Unfortunately that won't stop people.

A smart move for now would be to suspend singing the anthems for a while but that’s not going to happen. Teams will have to announce to respect the singers and take out your anger and frustration in a different way in a different place. For example check the label and if it says “made in the USA” put it down and purchase something else. And put your travel dollars elsewhere. But please don’t boo children during a special moment in their young lives.

I think in many aspects he has looked better this year.
Guess some miss the 13 who had the op in the role he was in last year to fly the zone, get thru the blues with speed, dump the puck wide of tender and try n sneak by the D to recover off the end boards.
This year more engaged in his own end, supporting the D, usually the low F helping out, almost always on the right side of the puck, winning draws, positionally sound, good job on 1n1 battles. But ya doesn't skate super fast n score alot.
I'd love a break down from those disappointed in his game as an OA and how it differs from last year. ( both in role, expectations and a 200 ft game) Bet we won't get anymore than " OA should be better, looks lazy......"
His game has improved and his contributions will help this team more come crunch time than last year, JMO. Those expecting a scoring machine just had poor/unrealistic expectations. But I'd love an explanation as to why I'm wrong.

And which OA would u like to have in his place plus the cost.

And who cares if it is rookie or OA, it's about contribution, role given by staff n helping the team win.
You can win with great OAs or not, great 19 yr olds or not, 1st/2nd year players taking a big role or not, 2 great Euros or no great Euros, big trade deadline addition or not. Best goalie or not.......
Maybe it's an expectation of an OA that has a couple posters dissappointed? I dunno, but kid fills a big role n need on this team.
( no I do not think he carves out an NHL career, no I dont think he is top 10 talent ( skater ) on this team. But an OA doesn't need to be that to be part of a great team. So times they do ( lnot here, this year thou)

Who were the OAs on the LK OHL Championship teams, bet ya find a couple that didn't dominate or even we're as productive than JJ (talking more than pts),
Ok, for starters he is way off his pace for goals from last year. For a guy with a great wrist shot, he should have more goals. It’s what you expect from an OA who isn’t a physical player. He has very little physical presence and in fact any bit of physicality and he often slashes or uses hit stick against the other player. Ever notice how he carry’s his stick in scrums and when the whistle goes? Straight up in the air…it’s a tactic to keep guys away from you.
He’s a decent skater for sure, but he quits on plays too early. Watch for it. He floats quite a few times a game.
These are the things I see, this is why I have the opinion that he could and should be doing better. He has the talent.
Hes not going anywhere but if his play doesn’t improve then I’m sure ice time will reflect it. He’s had some flashes of brilliance over the past couple weeks. I’d love for him to hustle more and shoot more. Everyone will benefit.
Hopefully FP didn’t read this or the tears will flow because I expressed a negative opinion.
Although Nelli did say Bruz needs work on His defensive game, and there was no outcry of horror so maybe it’s selective protectionism.
Anyways, there…you wanted details, you got it. And to quote the famous FP….”IMO”
:)

We have two games in hand.
According to the OHL website it’s three. 46 vs 49. (It’s two between LDN and Spits 47 vs 49)

Can we all just agree Julien’s offensive numbers have not matched last year’s but that he is still an important piece to this year’s Knights puzzle. His SH goal on Friday was an important goal in the win. And his goals in shootouts also added to the win totals. Are there OA’s with better stats? Definitely. But a team is built by players playing and accepting different roles. Let’s just enjoy the ride and wish our team the best.

So are u upset Nelli made a comment about Bruzs game and there was no "outcry of horror so maybe it's selective protectionism" lol........maybe, just maybe, it's people just didn't disagree with that take like they did with yours about JJ?.So ever1 should agree with you or it's selective protection?

No biggie, your not a JJ fan and expect more. TY for the details......doesn't hustle enough, not enough goals for you, not physical enough and carries a stick up in scrums........gotcha. Doesn't move feet fast enough for ya and isn't a tough guy, basically.
It's ok, your not a fan of the player. Some people don't agree with your take. It's ok. We obviously watch the game thru different lenses cause I see lots of positives to his game, no worries. And I never expected more than what wr are getting this year. His overall value has increased with the role he has been given this year.
And he is a more valuable OA than 1/2 the OAs LK has had in their OHL Championship years.
I hoped he developed into a solid 3rd line F and he has. Esp based on his path to where he is now.

Julien has been meh this year based of his play from last year. He seems to be lacking offensive confidence for some reason. He seems to play better when he is the one driving the line instead of being a compliment to the big boys. Which is strange because he was so good at being that third wheel on lines last year and was able to adjust to his linemates and make them better. Now he just seems hesitant to do things with the puck that he would normally have done last season. On a positive note, he is playing a more physical game and is always sticking up for his teammates on the ice, no issues with that!

As for Henry B...he just has too many mental lapses out there some nights. I think it is the typical draft year thing where he is trying so hard to create something offensively or defensively that is beyond his capabilities. He just has to keep things simple and play his game, he is rated high because of his all around game. No need to be like his brother yet offensively, or try to be too physical because he just does not have that in him yet. But his progression is on the right trajectory!
