London Knights 2024-25 Season Thread, Part V

Nice sweep of the northern trip.

Bouncing back after the sluggish effort in Kitchener speaks volume about the character of the team. That Loss rolled off their back like water off a duck and they got right back to winning ways. Lesser teams can let negatives spiral/linger.

Van Gorp and Bonk really picked it up this weekend I thought.

So impressive how the team wins with key players out of the lineup. The coaching staff makes the right adjustments to move players up and down the lineup and the players respond with positive results. And Elliot’s 20-0 record is very impressive. A great addition to the team.

Well put. It was good to see that loss roll off their back so easily. That bodes well for playoffs etc. I do feel like that SSM game was important. Being down 2-1. Sending out the Allen and Dickinson pairing and saying go get us one. Basically imposing their will on the opponents. That is clutch. That game was easily looking like a loss. SSM had the momentum and looked like the better team when they went up 2-1.

Anyways this Knights team is fantastic we are all so lucky to be fans of this organization.

With 23 games left we currently have two 20 goal scorers, four 15 goal scorers, three 10 goal scorers and three guys with 8.

Last years team ended off with, four 30 goal scorers (three of which are Barkey, Cowan and Halttunnen), Five 20 goal scorers (three of which are Julien, O’Reilly, and Bonk), two 10 goal scorers (Dickinson and Sim).

Currently sitting at 211 GF this season (4.69 GF/game). Last season we ended with 322 GF (4.73 GF/game). A very similar GF pace.

Defensively last year we entered up with the best GAA in the league with 2.89 GA/game. This year we sit at 2.6 GA/game so a bit better.

Similar teams. I would argue this years team seemingly has more depth.

Van Gorp contributing to our scoring more than expected. Nichol not so much. Balance is great ...this team has it. Different players stepping up each game makes defending our team much harder.

Nichol was great until he had that shoulder injury. Yes, Van Gorp is somehow still producig with limited ice time.

Erie and Windsor this weekend. Should be some good games!

Both teams will be hungry and ready. It will be a good test as per usual

And Julien, as well, was truly impressed of his weekend performance and how he led the way by example.

Actually, I was kind of worry when I first saw the two offensive defencemen paired together on the same ice, Dickinson and Allen covered for each other's very well all weekend. Except for that mishap that cost us the power play shorty against, it all went smoothly for the two all weekend, they are building a little chemistry between the two, this could be good for the Knights.

Dale needs 12 wins for 1000. If they win 12 straight he would get #1000 on Saturday March 1st @Niagara

Looking at the schedule, is there one team in particular you'd love to see Dale get #1000 against?
Don't know, who is the second active coach in wins to Dale right now, his team could be the one to play against for his 1000th
