Another positive result of Dale's line shuffling, was Nurmi rediscovering his scoring touch. Maybe it's just me, but he seemed to be in a bit of a slump, scoring-wise. Potting those 2 goals might just re-ignite his confidence level, and the team gets another goal-scoring threat:thumbu::nod:

I am NOT scared of anyone in the West, only team that has the slim hopes of beating London in a 7 gamer is Erie. And only way that happens is if they have a healthy Erliden and he is able to steal a few games.

Obviously small sample size but only team I fear in the East is Oshawa. They play a big boy brand of hockey which usually wins out come playoff time. Now I am sure Barrie will have something to say about that, but we shall see.

He is very rare at this point, but I really liked his patience and moxie in his 7 or 8 shifts.

I am not familiar with St. Andrews, I notcie that a lot of their top notch players have been playing in OHL games all of the sudden. Is there season over already, or are they on a break of some kind?
The Barrie roster is as loaded as London. Though the best team in the east has yet to be determined. Kingston looks pretty good imo.
Their season goes into March. It is because of NCAA changes that St.Andrews first hockey players are signing on with OHL teams.

Nurmi definitely needed that game.

Last 2 games Cowan has beefed up his game..looks sharper regained confidence. Nurmi could have had 5 in this game tons of chances..he looked relieved to final pot a couple.

Nice to see Cowan really seem back to normal. What’s incredible is how consistent he has been even during slight injuries etc

I found an interesting interview with former first-round pick and London Knights player Rick Green on The Raw Knuckles Podcast with Chris Nilan. Rick was on one of the Knight's most punishing set of defense of that era, Brad Marsh, Dave Hilborn, Rob Ramage and Rick Green. If you are interested, check this out: And Dwight Schofield, I forgot

Who wins the eye test though? For some reason, I can't even exactly pinpoint what it is, Medvedev feels a little more secure
Medvedev is benefitting greatly from having a very solid guy spelling him off when he needs a break from the action.. Can't get much better than Elliott's record, but when he graduates , Medvedev will inherit the top job. Meanwhile, he's getting solid experience, with the security of knowing that a very capable tender has his back !
