As always I really enjoy Mark McKelvie. I wish we could see him in the Memorial Cup apposed to the the other folks they have. The Memorial Cup is a showcase of the best teams in the CHL why not have the best broadcaster in the OHL to represent us?
His skating was always there, just needed a half dozen games of adjustment and to learn this team and leagueMontgomerys skating is light-years better then it was when he first came to the Knights. Coming to the Knights is the best thing he could have done for his career. It just proves the old saying iron sharpens iron....he's an absolute pleasure to watch.
Nope, adjustment means it wasn't always there. His skating was always there, just needed a half dozen games of adjustment and to learn this team and league
What everNope, adjustment means it wasn't always there.
So glad you're back......What ever
Are we to believe his skating ability was not part of his skill package when he came here
Absolutely correct Fastpace. His skating was always there, just needed a half dozen games of adjustment and to learn this team and league
Thank You zman77. I am appreciative of your interestAbsolutely correct Fastpace.
Mark's eye for talent is paying off big with attracting Montgomery to London.
He's not only fast North to South but his agility with quick turns with the puck has been impressive.
Fastpace, very nice to see you're back on HFB!!
Your insights are appreciated here.
I am with you there. Keyboard wizards that hide in momma’s basementThank You zman77. I am appreciative of your interest
I will continue to defend any junior player from any team against public humiliation and demonization via social media.
I think it would still make sense for Monty to get a year of NCAA hockey in to help him adjust up the levels before signing a contract.I understand Montgomery came to London because of the changes at the NCAA but wanted to go to school next year. If he keeps this play up Ottawa may have something to say about the school route. He is likely playing into their plans and may get a good contact offer this year.
Agreed 100%. Constructive comments are welcome but tearing down young men trying their best is the practice of a very small person.Thank You zman77. I am appreciative of your interest

Cowan has 30pts in 22 games and has a point in 58 straight games. What more do you want from him? This team is crazy! 32 wins(amazing), but Cowan, Halttunnen, Nurmi, Julien all haven’t hit their stride yet!
NHL. Returnees are also given some assignments to work on, that will help them at the next level. This could explain some of their changes in junior plays, there are so many things to do beside scoring goals in hockeyThis team is crazy! 32 wins(amazing), but Cowan, Halttunnen, Nurmi, Julien all haven’t hit their stride yet!
I think we can see Easton take over games. He’s been a good consistent contributor, but don’t forget this is a player who was the most outstanding player in the OHL last seasonCowan has 30pts in 22 games and has a point in 58 straight games. What more do you want from him?
I do believe that Hawery has been sent down to Junior B in St Thomas to finish his season there. He will be able to return after they are ousted.Guelph and Sudbury this week. Can’t take either team lightly!
I’m guessing Read, Boulton and Hawery are gonna be on the outside looking in to get in the lineup. Same with Fagen and Spencer
Sounds good. Top line minutes. I’m sure he will continue to have success there. I guess it’s a matter of if he’s on the Knights he’s only getting minimal minsI do believe that Hawery has been sent down to Junior B in St Thomas to finish his season there. He will be able to return after they are ousted.
