Nurmi doesn't stand out in a lot of ways, but he is one of the better passers on the team. I still think he is fine as a 3rd liner on a Memorial Cup-caliber team.
My brother asked me in Nurmi was playing what number he didn't see him out there. He's still getting use to the North American game i think

The GOJHL announced the rosters for their top prospects game and 7 knights prospects made the list. Brendan Gerber, Cohen Bidgood, Reid Gammage, Eddie Hickson, Caleb Mitchell, Braedon Clark, & WIlliam Janicek. Another strong group of prospects in the pipeline.

I wasn't able to watch the game yesterday, but I saw the Boulton fighting/misconduct penalties when I was checking the live stats and wondered what happened. Well, I just saw a video of it and I guess he got the misconduct for throwing a couple shots while they were down? That seems to happen almost every fight, so seems to me, it is a name misconduct.
Also, how did the Kitchener player not get an instigator? He literally skated up to Boulton, who was not looking at him and dropped the gloves.

Very happy with our effort this past weekend. 4 points was good result. Enjoyed the game Sat. night in Windsor had seats behind the knights bench which gave a very different perspective than my season seats (upper deck). Having Barkey back on Sunday helped.

Guelph is selling. Thoughts on if the Midwest division buddies can link up?

Probably not considering you will be offering pennies on the dollar for Luchanko or Allen.
Is Hawery now available or anyone in your top 6 or 9? Who are you offering besides picks.

I would be willing to part with Hawery but I also want Jaxon Cover and Logan Hawery to be our next wave of stars.

Let’s also be real, even in wishful thinking and we got Luchanko, there is no way to compete next season.

We would be deep enough forward-wise, but our defense would be Woolley and Brz. Unless Mark Hunter brings in another D via USA.

So that’s why I consider that we hold onto Hawery.

What players are available that would be in the Knights price range?

Also, is Cover for sure coming next year?

Erie and Sarni this week. Should be ready for both! Let’s hope the boys put in a good effort before the break.

Side note. How many coaching wins does Dale have in the OHL?

Fagan...young d-man. Some have compared him to Orr (Colton, not Bobby).

No surprise, that's what I expected.
14 or whatever NHL draft picks already and looking to add more in return for hope and promises.

May need more though considering you haven't dominated rebuilding teams like the Storm and Attack.

Next year is still looking good, not anywhere close to this year but we would still be in the mix to go for it with a few additions.

we only lose Bonk on D, forwards are thinned out but still lots of returnees to be competitive:

O'Reilly Nichol Van Gorp

Van Bommel Read Hawery

Aboflan Bidgood Boulton

Import import

Yes we will need to find a few all stars but we have a very good team next year. Defensively really solid.

Brzustewicz Dickinson

Fimis Woolley

Fagan Jenkin

Mitchell

We still likely have 9 NHL drafted players

Next year hinges entirely on Dickinson being back. If he is back you go for it. If not it’s a retool year likely unfortunately so my thought is go ALL in this year

Next season I think we take a step back. Erie, Kitchener and Windsor should be the favourites in the W.

When your team is as good as it is this year, anything after will be a step back. However, if we fill the import spots with studs and get some NCAA commits, add in Cover and the young guns stepping up it still looks like top team.

We shall see. Now that the knights do t make crazy deadline trades they are just great every year.

With no additions, just signing a couple prospects we are over 15 forwards. The new strategy seems to be move out the abundance of depth players to refill the pick cabinet.
