I feel awful for him. I know last year he came back fired up but it might be a bit tougher for him this time.
I'm with you just love the kids heart. Sadly for Denver he has a teammate (Wannabee Cowboy LOL) who plays a very similar style to him but just at a slightly higher level most nights. Heck they even look similar out there wonder if it cost him a spot?

Pinelli cost him a spot. Having a better year. Plays a similar style is a similar size.

Lots of hate thrown his way for those with short memories BUT Mr Sims has 3 points on their 4 goals? Just sayin .......
Mr. Sim having a solid evening for sure!

What just happened there?
One streak comes to an end, another one continues: Elliott now 12-0.
Solid effort top to bottom with 4 stars out of the lineup.
Knights outshot the Spits in all periods..."check that" (shout out to Doyle). Outshot Spits in 1st and 2nd (3rd was even).
Windsor with twice as many PP and went 1/4.
London 1/2
How about goals at even strength?
London 3
Windsor 1
Knights dominate in the faceoff circle.
What else can you say? Encore!

Didnt expect that 3rd period.

Frogget was playing great. Really feel for the kid. My hockey carreer ended pretty much that way.

Fimis does not look out of place at all.

My respect for Vanbommel increased exponentially tonight. Took it and actually started to return the favour. Good on you kid.

Have I mentioned Im an Elliot fan? OA or not, how did he get waived through the WHL?

After tonight's games the Knights are unofficially tied for 4th in faceoffs with Windsor, Kingston & Peterborough at 52.1%

Sudbury is 3rd with 52.2% Saginaw 2nd with 53.7% and Erie is 1st with 54.4%

* unofficial because I want to cross reference my numbers, which I'll do during the break

Felt bad for Froggett. Can’t remember the last time a Thorndale native made it to the OHL. Belchetz is a beast. Windsor probably a favourite in a year or two. London played decent enough. Tomorrow will be hard to sweep the back to back.

Team played the game they had to with the 4 players out. And showed how confidence in the system rewards success. Halttunen and Sim really stepped up and Elliott was excellent as always. Fagan and Spencer both had strong games as well. Great team win.

If my memory serves correct - it would have been Tyson baker 2015 (current linesman in nhl) and then after that Derek hartwick in 2010

Sim looked fired up during the starting lineup intros. Skating back and forth over his blue line glaring at the Spitfire players.

Fimis 4 didn't look out of place for his first game. Got out muscled a few times but did show a flash of offence joing a rush at least once. He looks like he's going to be a good addition.

I see a huge change in Halttunen from last year. More of a complete player, works hard in puck battles better at faceoffs and has raised his game to pro level. we might have lost the game last night if he was at camp. Fimis looked like a player not familar with Hunters system. Played OK but not better or worse than Fagan,Jenken and Spencer.

Solid game all around.
Hopefully rinse, wash repeat tonight but LK should have a tougher time matching F groups.
Windsor didn't look to have much GAF (or the Knights took that away......it's usually a combo of both)

Nurmi is on the Finnish pre tournament roster but they still need to make at least 1 cut

55 bit off a bit more than he could chew. But showed some GAF taking the bite. Giving up alot in size, got beat for sure but I didn't see any of the smaller Spits stand up. (most of the bigger ones also....Nesbitt wanted no part of a fight but got his cheap shot in lol...penalized correctly) Even the Belch/ VB was a result of a Spit taking a late shot at someone)
probly not the game Windsor wants to get into with London.

And, 55 VB's best shift came after he lost the fight.
