Not giving a goon the minimum 7 suspensions deep is a good idea also.A suspension limit is a good idea.
You failed to prove your point. Kicking Boulton out of the league would have helped the KnightsSawyer Boulton's 7th suspension of the year he got 2 games (the minimum allowed) for slew-footing. Why he wasn't tossed from the league entirely by say... suspension number 5?!?! is beyond me. How he was handled was a travesty and he was a hazard to every opposing player he faced from about the midway portion of the year after he made his bed as to who he was and his intentions on the ice.
I cannot fathom the lawsuit the OHL would have faced had something like the Liambas hit (or worse) had happened. There's a strong case to be made that the OHL could be found criminally negligent in such instance.
SEVEN suspensions in the same season and the guy gets the minimum for the infraction.
rve24 I fail to see what's funny about this. Please elaborate.
Out of respect to nelli I'll let it go after this. Sawyer's mere presence allowed the Knights to play "bigger" than they were. The Rangers were never going to beat that team, but concussing 2 top 4 d-men without fear of retaliation ensured that (Boulton not responsible for either). He certainly did serve a purpose, and I feel did help the Knights. Enough talent to win with 3 lines, and the 4 shift boogeyman. You failed to prove your point. For his sake, I’d like to see Bidgood back in the OHL on another team as there’s no room in London at full strength. Or perhaps they’re waiting for next year when all the 05 forwards graduate. Regardless, I think he’s proven worthy of an OHL spot right now.Yea no thanks. Rather keep him, not even sure they have anything to offer. We can really use during world juniors
I’d be ok with giving up Bidgood if we get the same or around kind of the value we got for Blake Arrowsmith. Bidgood for the Pete’s would also be good for them.
