Funny, last year Niagara was trading American kids because they didn't want to pay the scholarship packages, now they are trading for American kids, DD must be hoping he leaves early and doesn't have to pay the scholarship money.

😂😂

I say he’s better and he likely gets drafted in the late rounds. Top 6 F next year and top line as a 19 yr old

So if we are adding 2 3rds and a 6th our draft cupboard would be pretty decent
LOL! Blake Arrowsmith certainly isn’t better than Brody Crane was in Year 2.

When Arrowsmith puts up 42 points in his sophomore year, call me out please.

This is why we love Mark.

He trades away pieces to get assets. Try’s to find a good location for the kid by trying to trade with teams near the players hometown so they can be closer to family. Other than Erie and Windsor, that’s as close as you can get to Solon Ohio. Saginaw and Flint are pretty close in distance to Ohio.

And he honours the player and know he needs more ice time to develop.

Arrowsmith will do well in Niagara. He gives you a little bit of everything. Isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty and never lacks effort.

His foot speed could be improved, but has a high motor and plays sound positionally to make up for it.

Niagara could have him for up to 3.5 years, so Not bad value for both sides IMO.

Would have been nice to hold onto him for future seasons in London. But you have to do right by the player and it seemed like he was going to have trouble drawing into the lineup here during his draft year. Don’t like to see him go, but understand the reasons.

I think he’s a year younger m(I could be wrong)

Yes 15 points in his 17 yr old season so pretty similar to Arrowsmith right now

Just under a four trip to St.Catharines not including border wait.

Knights are on a 15 game win streak and fans are hoping to make a trade to bring in a big D.

Our team is fine as is. Yes, Mark will make smaller trades to give young F opportunities elsewhere. He will stock the draft cupboard to make trades next year when there are a lot of graduating players.

Don't fix what isn't broken.

Interesting that there is a delay in announcing suspension length for Ryder when Kasper was from same game?
Probably going to be a long one. 10+ games is my prediction.

If it was some random Joe blow who knows but it’s a repeat offender and his brother was the exact same way.

Sure, but we still need a top4 D to really solidify our back end. As much as the streak is great if we want to win I think that would really help with it. Especially before WJC cause we will be thin without Bonk and Dicky

Depends what you mean by quick, there is some fast food places down Dundas St. such as Popeyes, Pizza Pizza, Subway, but you might have to fight off the crackheads while in line.
The market is a good spot though and has good quick options inside. If you are looking for more of a restaurant, J-Dee's is a good spot but always busy. I personally, have liked going to Pizza Madre before games, it's on my way for walking after I park and a good experience.

Inside, pretty standard arena options, nothing overly impressive.

True to an extent. Our top 4 D are logging HUGE minutes and that cannot be the case all year and the playoffs. We have 7 D on our active roster with Fagan and Spencer being two of them. Fagan has the tools but he's very young and needs time. Spencer is the big body guy we need to clear the front of the net and provide and edge...only issue is his foot speed. He's just too slow from what I have seen. Our D down low are not the quickest bunch including Woolley and Bonk and they are in our top 4. Ive seen great improvements in Woolley through out the year and his footspeed has improved. I think the Knights might wanna be proactive and add a steady guy down low that's a stay at home D and clear the front of the net. Right now I'm comfortable with 5 D.....6 would be nice. I'm not asking for a top 4 guy. Just someone to help out the 5th.

And yes I agree this trade and a few more will be used for next year's team to reload.

Agreed on logging minutes. It may be fine now but they will get tired down the stretch.

I think fans expect Mark to make a big splash trade when he doesn't need to. He will tweak the lineup and bring a guy in that will help the team. Sometimes the best moves are the smallest ones.

It likely will be someone we don’t expect , but is a good top 4 D really that big of a splash?

I see someone suggested Jdees...I've been and was not impressed except for the French onion soup. Try Fitzrays....not as packed but I found the food there much better.

1000% agree. Don't need a big splash.
