Yes I have to agree with Otto on this one. Everyone knew their role better on that team. Ya they might have not turned into NHL stars all of them on the 05 team, but they did their role to a tee.

Secondly, the goalitending is the best we ever had still. With Dennis and Coleman. You probably won’t see one on the same calibre for a very very long time if ever.

I'll stick by (for now and can't see it changing) this version wouldn't survive the grit n toughness the 05 squad had thru a 7 game series.
Also could just flat out lock teams up.

But I do really enjoy the discussion and Marners squad was great, as was last years.....just nice to have seen 4/5 teams as food as they were over the 20+ year run with the down years being mid pack teams for only a season til competing again. We are spoiled and it'll come to an end one day.
