Wow now Branch is back tracking on diving saying ya they missed a few and a different person is looking after the officiating. Suspensions are handled by the commissioner and Vice president oh that happens to be his son (no conflict there). Branch certainly wants to go out with a bang. It has to be an embarrassment to have the host team go in through the back door, heck they can't even fill the arena for this series and still plenty of tickets left for the Memorial Cup. The arena has a seating capacity of 5500 and you haven't sold it out yet, way to go mister Branch I can imagine what the other CHL commissioners think of that. You compare this series to the NHL finals going on now and if called the same way there would always have someone in the box. Hey here is a idea, lets change a rule to flag hockey and if you flag gets taken on you have to fall to the ice to facilitate a hit. I have been following Junior hockey for over 42 years and this is one of the worst officiated playoffs (other series as well) I have ever witnessed. It's bad when I have a 9 year old sitting behind me asking his dad why was that a penalty and the father says I don't know only the Ref does. If a 9 year old can see it????

Interesting that 10 years ago, Stolarz received 8 games for a stick swing to the back of Ho-Sang’s helmet. Guo received 5 for a stick swing to the face of Hayes. 10 years ago, I’m sure raging London haters were crying conspiracy for only 8 games for Stolarz. I have barely heard a peep about only 5 games for Guo. Interesting. I don’t have an opinion about what is light or heavy regarding suspensions because I have seen zero consistency during my time following the OHL. I am not a MAGA guy either. Have fun.
Welcome to junior league politic, it takes years to figure this out, ask me I got many behind me

I don’t think branch or these officials have ever watched an NHL game. It’s a war and if you let the play go and pick up the game speed there is no room left for stupid penalties and teams develop professional respect for eachother.

The OHL is setting a terrible precedent for what these kids should expect in pro.

Junior League brass do not view fans paying to see their favorite team(s), they go to hockey game to see league abuses. In other words, without a commissioner and a league director of hockey operation, hockey no longer exist, I guess. How many here knows David Branch makes $600 000 a year, and soon will be his son Barclay's salary, after careful consideration and sifting through all applications of course. Were we talking about nepotism a little while back

I watched game 7 last night of the Leafs/Bruins... and I hate both teams. There is zero comparison to the OHL. Refs were pretty much non-existent. Great flow
Sometimes I think the NHL is easier to officiate. The players are generally a lot more mature and you see much less between-the-whistle crap. Although the game is quicker at that level so what do I know. Hoping for a Knights win today. Go Knights.

That's valid, hardly any after the whistle garbage last night. I hope they watched as a team last night and took notes.

If they play like either Boston or Toronto they would still end up with 30 pims! But there would be no calls for being dumb and I could accept that.

Sometime, NHL Player Association have a say how the league is to function, in junior there are nothing of the sort, league official greases their pockets on junior hockey players sweat & hard work, sponsors and of course you the paying fans, and none of all of us has a say how it is to be functioning, We are all at their mercy, its Junior Hockey League politic at its finest, pay up and we tell you where to ... , can't say it on these pages

I got a feeling London Knights will be all business in today's game, they know mysterious outside help will not be present on the ice surface, again today. It's either going to be a tight hard fought game in London's favours or they'll get blown out, but it will surely not be for a lack of effort, they have a strong message for the Spirit to administrate today, Dale knows what I am talking about. IMHO

"Crack down on diving" we all know what that means more calls for the knights and more of a chance to equal up any calls Saginaw might get to seem impartial LOL

Wild Considering Hache was suspended last round for 2 games. Refs missed the memo apparently

The league wants to promote not suspend the skilled award winners. Cowan would very likely get away with the same stuff as the spitter.
Hache, not so much.

The diving is so beneficial that many teams are coaching it, and pretending to send players to the dressing room for observation, it has to be stopped imo.
