Quebec league doesn't have any American teams yet they still have Americans. Hmmm. Mightve also played during the pandemic if it wasn't for the American teams. Can't convince me that American teams benefit canada

Cowan crosschecked into the goalie..the ref behind the net is waiving interference off because he saw it was the Saginaw player who did it. The ref 150 feet away turns into the hero...love it.

The trail ref responsibility is net front. I think it is that refs call.

They did have an American team at one point.

Lol it was the canadian border and the ontario health guidelines that prevented play. American leagues and teams played unaffected all over the USA.

Oh ya we are not losing because of the God awful refs, we are playing bad. The director of officiating should not have a kid in another team, huge conflict of interest.

Kinda like the Knights had an official do their game when a DOPD was his dad?
Or when an official would have a pop with certain Knights staff? Or when an ex player from your team gets a league appointed gig?

Yes, but Lawrence just played his last game of the year likely after coming off a 5 gamer.

If u think this is to the shoulder take off the green colored glasses. He was fine to retaliate but the cross check is so unnecessary & dirty. Especially coming off a 5 game SSPD.

London is the best team in the league..that 3rd period was not pretty to watch. They had 0 interest in playing the game anymore. Can only imagine if S. Boulton were in what would've happened.

Have no rooting interest just wanna watch a great series which it's been outside that period. Best of luck the rest of the way

They are trying to give Bonk a 4 minute high sticking penalty for a puck hitting Dionicio in the face. There was only two people in the building that did not see it, I will let you guess what colour band they had on their arms.

They took so long to review it on the i-pad, that the scab had time to form on Dionicio's lip.

They have 3 American players in the whole league. They've completely given up on recruiting Americans and despite the memorial cup wins, they are clearly the weakest in terms of overall talent in the CHL.

Lawrence is cooked. Got hosed on that body checking suspension. But this one will be deserved. Definite intent.

Team is not playing great the last 3 games really. I would probably call out Dickinson and Julien’s performance the most. They have played to a higher standard all year and are important players. They need to find their usual form.

O’Reilly was a bright spot again.
Would be nice to get Leonard back. Depth on the blue line isn’t the same right now.

Anyone know what Sim did to get tossed? Was very random, lined up to drop the puck. Then all of a sudden officials gather and then he’s tossed.

My guess and it is only a guess is that he used an inappropriate word/slang. Was there and no idea.

Or maybe Sr Hache has a bug in refs ear and told him to toss the player lol. ( joke, in now way do I think thst happened)

Very rarely do I complain about the officiating.... it's been absolutely horrible tonight

Not saying I disagree, but it's not an excuse. London had multi ops to make a play and didn't. Lots of chances early.
It was obvious how the game was going to be called early on.
London let the refs get in their head. And it showed itself often
Let the stripes be shit........don't look for help or whine. JMO.
End of the day LK made more mistakes than the stripes did. AINEC

I just found it strange how it took three stripes 5 minutes to discuss if it was a penalty or not. He either said something or he didn't you can't sit there and discuss a bunch of maybes for 5 minutes. Was a very amateurish officiating group tonight from some experienced officials.

They had Lewiston Maine for a couple years, only 38 000, there is Burlington Vermont, the next biggest and closest market and they only have 44 000, no big market close enough to support a QMJHL market. They only had 5 US players playing in the league this year.

For sure, they spent more time looking at the tablet tonight than anything else. Just very unsure of themselves on every call.

Or maybe the tablet just had a good internet connection and access to certain websites they enjoyed.

At the game tonight..my observations

Knights were poor on faceoffs, particularly in the offensive zone. Lack of discipline all game which got them off their game plan.Seemed a bit tight especially in the first half of the game. Very little sustained pressure in the Spirit end. Simpson was good and kept the score respectable

Spirit played a good road game, disciplined, lots of speed and good pressure on the puck. Won most puck battles. Lalonde not really tested much. Spirit deserved the win.

Linesmen... drop the FN puck already. Lengthy faceoff events all game

Referees...a factor in the outcome of this game. 3-2 Spirit with Knights putting some pressure when Cowan called for goaltender interference. Was not a penalty as Cowan was pushed into Lalonde who did a 9.5 to sell it. subsequent power play goal took the wind out of the Knights sails, took the crowd out of it.

The on ice officials were noticable tonight which is usually not a good thing. That said, kudos to Saginaw for a well played game

Im still a little stunned by that debacle, and its almost 2 hours later.

Knights : on your bus trip back to Saginaw, take the time to listen to some Zen tapes. You let it get to your heads. You are better than that.

Spirit : you were given a gift tonight. But you should be ashamed of the embellishment.

Officials : wtf was that? All im gonna say.
