why not Brochu as backupKnights gunning for first place overall during northern swing
Joseph Raaymakers will be a busy man again.
He is slated to start three more games, starting Thursday in Barrie, after playing in four straight last week. Jordan Kooy is recovering from an injury suffered while kicking around a soccer ball with his teammates.
“He’s riding the bike now,” London coach Dale Hunter said of a potential return, “so it’s wait-and-see right now.”
Lucas Bain, an 18-year-old stopper with the Thamesford Trojans Junior C club, worked out at practice Wednesday and will serve as backup throughout the road trip.
The Knights expect to be without Alex Formenton for at least the next two weeks, but they got a boost to learn he is starting to skate again.
It will be another big moment when he actually returns to London from his rehabilitation duties in Ottawa.
why not Brochu as backup
May have to do with having a goalie who can go on the long road trip. I believe you can only dress a call up goalie if it doesnt conflict with there original team gamesOr McCabe, or whomever they plan on using as a backup next year anyways? It will almost certainly be an internal guy, since Kooy will need to be succeeded soon and they spent a fair number of assets on finding that successor.
28 regular season games left..I'm gonna say he hits that plateauOne that may be a stretch, Evan Bouchard is 30 points away from 200.
