Love this move. Congrats to Lombardi for getting out of Toronto, where he was likely going to end up riding the pine. He gets to try and rejuvenate his career in Phoenix, wish him well.

Now we've turned Lebda into a 3rd likely and Franson... good value.

Lombardi can still play, this is about making a roster spot for Kadri/Frattin. Good move, Lombardi just really didn't fit here, and hopefully he can again in Phoenix.

This trade definitely was to open a spot on the roster, plus it does reduce the cap hit and gives us a draft pick.

Lombardi can play hockey and might excel in Phoenix, good luck to him.

How dare you.

umm Kulemin had 7 goals last season.....he was part of LACKK.....

Although I agree he was marginally less useless than the other 4....however I would still give him a chance to turn it around this season (partly because we don't have anything better)....

Um?

Do you watch games? He was our best defensive forward.

I would never include Kulemin with LACK.

Hold your concern until he has two bad years; you don't quit on a guy and throw him into a grouping of players who have hit their ceiling and bounced downward; because of one year. The guy can go without scoring at all and still be an asset to this team. He has a lot left in the tank; one bad year is not indicative of his whole career.

If we are to believe him, it was Grabo, Kule, Mac, and Reimer. Certainly possible.

Would have done Mac for 1st in a heartbeat. There were some really good mid-late round picks

Teravainen
Subban
Vasilevski
Mikhail Grigorenko/Forsberg (moved up when packaged with our 2nd)

Sadly Connelly has shown NOTHING to convince us that he still can play in the NHL, let alone be worth one quarter of his salary. He's made of glass, and when healthy shows nothing but indifferent play.

He indifferently got 36 points in 70 games with 3rd line minutes, while playing with some average linemates (Frattin, Crabb, Lombardi, etc). I get it that you hate the guy, but let's keep it real.
