You read his comment incorrectly here, they’re saying they couldn’t believe the Coyotes logo made it past the Hawks logo AND the best logos in the league. They aren’t calling the Hawks logo the best in the league.

They‘re referring to Arizona beating Chicago in the 2nd Round.

The best in the league is likely referring to Detroit, since Arizona went on to beat both them and Calgary.

I do think the Hawks have the best logo but it's all subjective so I can't fault someone for disagreeing, you're right however i'm surprised it beat as many other logos as it has. It's a cool design but it's niche, not historic.

Funny enough, I actually think you misread @Albatros comment. His point was that both Chicago and Arizona are examples of cultural appropriation. If one or the other was going to go all the way (which was implicit) it's necessarily the case that the "best" logo in the NHL relies on appropriation of Native culture.
