Wild's logo is fine but it's getting a bit overrated here along with Arizona's logo. Both of those logos are way better on paper than on an actual jersey.

I'd presume the kachina jersey and the Wild alternate would both likely do very well in a jersey vote.

Minnesota.

I would love Buffalo's logo if they went back to the one from the late 90s-early 2000s, but with the current color scheme instead of the black and red. This one has always looked lazy af. It's literally a buffalo and then two sabres below it. If nothing else, it's the most literal logo in the NHL, lol.

The Sabres logo always evokes very negative thoughts about the gruesome American Indian Wars and the elimination of the American bison by the US government and military which kind of ruins it as a design even if aesthetically it's not nearly as bad.
The Wild logo always evokes very negative thoughts about all of the Americans killed each year by bears, cougars, and other Wild animals.

LOL give me a break. If that's what you think when you look at a hockey team's logo you probably need some help

Mainly the problem is that the palette isn't very good. Red and green rarely work well next to one another. Their own alternate is much better in that regard.
The Wild's original jerseys were great, then they came up with that hideous red alternate jersey. It went all downhill from there.

They should really have just used the North Stars colors to begin with. Their reverse retro jerseys are awesome

I would have guessed that TOR, CHI, and MIN would be in the top 4 in this tournament. I'm shocked to see none of them will make the top 4 now, and that the Sabres logo knocked out 2 of them.

BUF has a fine enough logo. I like it. Top half of the league. Love the colour scheme. And at least it has the swords on there, unlike most other Sabres logos in the past having just the buffalo.

But the crossing swords isn't an original look, that animal silhouette is pretty ugly, the action lines are lame, and I'd say their most iconic jerseys were with the red goat head guy. So why is this getting so much love? It was the logo on the "turd burger" jersey, considered one of the worst sweaters in league history.

It's not particularly simple (the one knock on the wild too, I admit), it's not iconic, it's not particularly original or interesting.

It's mindboggling to me why so many people like the black and red pseudo-lacrosse Sabres jerseys. They weren't that great and it feels like a 3rd of the league wears black, red and white. I suppose if you didn't watch hockey prior to 1996 then they're nostalgic. For those of us that did they represent a huge mistake. Erasure of the original identity of the franchise. When they left the Aud to play in the generic cave that they play in today. The end of good times. When I see the blue and gold and I think of the French Connection, Mayday, Pat LaFontaine, Mogilny and his insane 92 season, Hasek standing on his head against the Devils in game 6 of the 94 playoffs. When I see the goatheads I think foot in the crease and the 2 great seasons with Briere/Drury where they didn't even make it to the final. I have many more good memories of blue and gold than I do black and red.

As for those ugly 2014 gold alternates, it wasn't to logo that sucked it was the design of the jersey itself. IMO the red 3rd jerseys with the crossed butterknives were just as terrible

Sabres for me here, but I do think the Wild logo is one of the most clever and underrated in the league.

It looks like Wild are taking the L here, but the logo is on another level in cleverness. It really does give continuous two/tree (xD) dimensional vibes, especially those that love the nature and wildlife.

Out of 53 years, the Sabres have only gone with other logos for 14. One was the hideous goat head, and they actually make it worse by introducing the Buffaslug.

This logo is their visual identity, through and through. It was bizarre and regrettable that they made a decision to go away from it, especially in the direction of a red/black color change.

I agree about the action lines being unnecessary, but what about the swords is unoriginal? AFAIK they were the only team in any sport with that motif until the Bucs introduced their flag logo in the late 90s.

Strongly agree with @BB79 that this is by far and away their most iconic logo/jersey/colors. Like it’s really not close at all.

I’m biased, but I think it just hits a sweet spot between too-busy and bland. They get a bit of an advantage by being able to draw on the city name and the team name, the swords are clean as hell, the color scheme is great- it just works for a lot of people. If you really analyze it, ya, the Buffalo ain’t perfect (sacrilege), but at a glance it just has a good old-school appeal. I’d actually prefer the Buffalo to be facing you, just a head on sorta look, but that’s a design challenge that could easily fail horribly. It works as is.

Also, what happened to this series? Twas great, let’s gooo final four.
