Alfredsson was out due to his own prior injury.

One of Ottawa’s Russian posters was absolutely outraged at the apparent lack of concern by the Captain and “eating nachos” became a bit of a meme for when someone is being a bit hyperbolic about a player’s leadership abilities or compete level.

If Alfie wasn’t in New York for the Rangers game as an assistant coach now, he’d be my chief suspect.

Can't stop play during a scoring chance because nachos are on the ice well away from the goalie. Would suck if a fan ruined a crucial odd man rush in a big game because of thrown food automatically causing play to be stopped. Needs to be refs discretion. Play to the whistle and dodge the nachos and hot dogs in the meantime.
